You don't need to give any extra food before mating at all mate, or even for the first four or five weeks of the pregnancy. Just feed small amounts of high quality nutritious food. Toast isn't suitable for dogs at all, stick to high quality biscuit and raw meat/tripe/eggs etc. Have a look at Orijen puppy food as I described above. 2.5KG costs about £11 and would last you over a month. What dry food are you feeding at the moment? I found this guide to be useful btw. It has plenty of tips on when to increase feeding amounts, and is very detailed in embryo development, the whelping process et

Raw food mate. Chicken frames, lamb breast, whole fish, necks, backs, all kinds of things. Add in some RAW green tripe and offal once or twice a week and you're laughing. If you haven't got runs up, buy a couple of terrier crates (about £20 new, cheaper second hand) and separate them in those for feeding. As was said earlier feeding terriers together always leads to trouble in the end, even if it's dry food. I'm talking from bitter experience there Out of the foods you refer to, I would definitely start shopping around mate. Pro Plan and Chudleys are low quality foods with a lot of

First question, without taking the mick (pun intended)... does it have to be dry? Raw food is ideal for pregnant and lactating bitches, as well as for weaning the pups. If you must feed dry, I recommend Orijen puppy, which is made from 75% meat and 25% fruit and veg. It's a complete biscuit/kibble, made by a family owned farming coop in Canada. All the meat is farmed locally to them, or by them, and the fish is wild-caught in the Canadian lakes. The food is steam cooked at 90oC to help preserve the nutrients, and unlike grain based foods (it's 100% grain free which is a good thing), it won't s

What do you feed your pooch?
Rainmaker replied to CAcountry_boy's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
Predominantly raw - whole rabbits, whole fish, whole anything else, raw meaty bones, chicken frames, whole raw eggs, offal. I also feed small amounts of Orijen complete dry biscuit (made from 70% meat 30% fruit & veg) as a supplement/treat. -
Name and shame the cnut mall.

Infringement. But quite... Bloody cheek

Do dreamers even come in that stupid / with so much wishful thinking? Perhaps an anti looking for a bit of cover? Not the brightest of sparks, at any rate! Ian, ban the fecker. Do we really need that sort (either sort!) on here? We're not exactly short of members.

I wasn't doubting whose side you were on mate, you just said to trust you and stop using Google. I'm just asking you to clarify by yes/no answers to (1) and (2) above. Warrants from a court are neither here nor there, as the POLICE didn't obtain one or act on it, whether by delegating the subsequent details to the arsepca or not. The OP would certainly have been informed if they had, and he'd have been given due process as a warrant has to be served and followed, not ignored while the arsepca just swipe property and leave notes in a field. Had the police obtained that warrant the OP would have

OK, the barristers who helped me against the arsepca last time are wrong. I'll listen to you instead. Answer these, please... (1) The arsepca have the existing legal authority ON THEIR OWN to enter private property against and/or without the owners permission. Yes/no? (2) The arsepca have the existing legal authority to seize goods with no police involvement. Yes/no? (3) Or as seems to be the case, you're basically agreeing with me while making out I'm wrong. The arsepca can do nothing unless the POLICE are involved and ASK them to act as their agent. This didn't happen with the OP and t

Glad to hear it, I'm looking forward to getting mine. Get your hands in your pockets you miserable lot!

Jeez... five "guests" reading this anti thread... six "guests" reading the arsepca thread... NO guests reading the other threads. Draw your own conclusions

Six guests reading this thread? We HAVE piqued some interest lol...Hello anti wankers

Frightening, isn't it? The barstewards have no legal check, no independent watchdog... If the police want to prosecute you they have to go through an independent (from the police at least) body called the CPS. Everyone knows that. But what checks are in place for the arsepca? They sure as hell don't have to report to anyone or carry out any checks before they mount their malicious press-seeking prosecutions while ignoring REAL animal cruelty and suffering. How anti-Halal is the arsepca? I can't remember getting a leaflet through my door on the matter from them... I can tell you one thing: The

I missed that comment!! I'm afraid a criminal offence committed under any animal related legislation is very much the police's problem, regardless of how many of them like to fob off the responsibility to a CIVILIAN agency! That's why, funnily enough, if you're caught poaching, badger baiting, dog fighting or anything else naughty involving animals (including neglect), it's the police who investigate, raid and arrest you. NOT the arsepca. A quick google for "Wildlife Crime Unit" and "animal crime police" will show you that the police quite firmly realise it's their job! Where on earth did you

I wouldn't even try mate as I'm nowhere near knowledgeable or qualified enough to do so. Best of luck though, I feel your pain!

I can't offer much advice about the shoulder injury, sorry. But just to confirm you shouldn't have to worry unduly about the ultrasound. I got my bitch scanned to confirm pregnancy and it was £18.50 or thereabouts at the vets.
-
Obviously I'm not saying it's what it is (and can't!), but my terrier bitch had an identical lump in exactly the same place last week, after being bitten in the line of duty It took a few days but it went away in the end Obviously if it starts growing, gets in any way worse, or doesn't go away I'd have the dog straight to the vets. Meantime I wouldn't be worried.

EDIT: Just to add artic, in the genuine spirit of enquiry... Regarding your earlier post... The courts wouldn't give a seizure warrant to the arsepca under any circumstances, as you yourself said it'd need to be a police officer. With that in mind, either (1) the OP is under police investigation which has reached warrant and seizure levels - and he'd have been presented with such by a constable upon the said seizure and had chance to defend himself, or else (2) the arsepca have done it again, and are full of their own shit as usual. There's no other way about it.

The arsepca do it all the time mate, check out the Animadversion (Self Help Group) site for tons of examples. The arsepca have a conviction for perverting the course of justice, AND their top brass openly admits in court they break and enter and steal animals to fulfil their agenda. How they're allowed to operate, much less maintain royal patronage and charitable status, is a mystery. This is all a matter of public record. Although I've never raised the matter before, this is definitely not the first (or third) time Artic has been asked about his allegiances. He never seems to give a stra

I'm still waiting on the legislation that gives the arsepca the right to seize goods for the purposes of an investigation?...
-
Friends, or colleagues? I'm pretty sure if the police had obtained a warrant to seize someone's goods they'd have been informed in a way much less subtly than finding an arsepca card in the middle of a field. The police would thus also be carrying out the investigation, and the gent would have been told and had chance to defend himself free of charge. Sounds to me much more like the arsepca up to their usual tricks... nick 'em, run away, and throw money at it til the poor fecker on the receiving end drowns in debt and despair.
-
Which legislation gives the arsepca legal powers? I'm presuming the new(ish) Animal Welfare Act? Because they definitely didn't have a scrap of legal power (especially entry and/or seizure!!) last time I looked. Further to that (I draw your attention especially to the third bullet point): As I said I'm not trying to be clever, but you seem to know something we don't, and knowledge is power!
-
But the arsepca aren't Crown officials, nor a law enforcement agency. Perhaps I'm conducting an investigation on YOU (in my above hypothetical scenario obviously lol)... Can I take your dogs now? I don't wish to sound fatuous but I just don't see how they get away with it. The arsepca only manage to prosecute people in the same way your or I could, under legislation that is a common informers act. It doesn't give them the legal power to enter property or seize property. They aren't the police and don't have PACE powers.
-
So if I come round to yours in the night or while you're out, and lift your dogs because next door's looks a bit ropey and then refuse to give them back to you... that's not theft? The arsepca have no more powers than you or I so I'm struggling to see what makes them different in the eyes of the law.
