  1. Alright lads? Just a little update on the pup I kept back out of my bitch Gypsy's litter this year. He (Bruno) is five months old now and already hunting up and marking well. He took his first rats last week and had three or four more today, albeit only small ones this time. He steams into them and has developed a knack of grabbing them by the head and just a quick 'crunch' before spitting them and out and looking for more. A few of us had headed out with the terriers this afternoon to an old chicken farm and had a good four or so hours at them. Not large numbers (I think we got 12 all in
  2. As-is, maybe. All fresh food is around 75% water, just like you and I are. On a dry matter basis (which is what counts for an objective analysis) 8% works out quite well indeed. But for banging weight on you can't really beat fresh raw breast of lamb, and (obviously enough?) any fatty foods. Whole eggs and a spoon of fish oil won't hurt either, and are excellent for building a dog up.
  3. "Where abouts are you mate... I've got terriers who'd go nuts for a day at a place like that" Shame you're in Kent! A cut down petrol strimmer or chainsaw is a good smoker if you weld a bit of metal pipe onto the exhaust and then jubilee clip some car radiator hose onto it.
  4. Bloody hell, Jacrabbit "knows" an awful lot about the way ferrets work, considering she (1) hasn't ever owned one and (2) didn't even know if they could climb. Sounds like an anti to me :wankerzo4:
  5. If my ferrets could crew through chicken wire I wouldnt be surprised if they also donned big red capes and flew around saving the world every night after I'd gone to bed. BS mate I lost my first ferret after he chewed through the chicken wire on his box, too. Belting little silver hob he was, tame as a puppy. So it seems you're in the minority there mate. Galvanised weldmesh was the only thing I'd use from then on.
  6. for your interest.....the "snapper" dontated several days and well over £100 squid in travel expenses as a favour.....to help raise the money for these two worthy causes. Lifting images of the "snappers" website with a camera phone would be illegal. I think you will find that "the snapper" (god I hate that term ) is more than happy to provide thumbnails for a previesw....but is currently busy earning a living away from the computer for a few days . Um... Steady on. That was a bit 'snappy' don't you think? As I said I've already bought two to help you raise money for these two worth c
  7. Can't wait to get my hands on the finished product; any ideas on the posting date?
  8. As far as I remember, if the points are accrued before you pass (i.e. are issued onto your provisional) you still get a full licence when you pass your test, but one more point after that will revert you back to learner status as per the New Drivers Act.
  9. Do the calendars come with phone numbers?
  10. Our old friend Ditch seems to be getting in on the scene too if you believe his blog  And you thought JD had issues? Oh, and the dog in the Jap clip appears to be a Tosa. Big dogs, them...
  11. Unfortunately turk, it's not that simple. Anyone on an ISP with dynamic IP addresses only needs to restart their modem/router and they're back on the site. If they have a static IP address, they make a quick phone call, get a new ISP and bingo! Back on again. That's if they don't just use one of the eleventy million free proxies online to get a "fake" IP. Not much can be done unfortunately
  12. Sorry mate, I didn't see that. Mostly because "This image or video has been moved or deleted"
  13. I appreciate what you're saying mate, but at the end of the day if anything arose I'm sure the person taking the photo would have stepped in. I can't speak for everyone, but my bullies (and terriers) would happily lie there 'til kingdom come getting that kind of fussing lol If I couldn't trust my dog to "put up" with something as non-invasive as being doodled upon/stroked/tickled, it'd not be my dog for long. JMHO.
  14. Yeah definitely something up with the server and/or its connection. Slow as a Yorkshireman to the bar here.
  15. I'm sure I haven't the faintest idea what you're on about me ole mucker...
  16. Might be your DNS setup. Not to worry, I'll attach it directly here for your viewing pleasure lol
  17. Just an idea like, but surely if you commissioned the photos to appear in a public calendar (which you are now selling for cash), you have every right to publish a preview of those pictures? "Fair Use" under copyright law allows this sort of thing without the express permission of the copyright owner doesn't it? Your stance is surely doubly strong since the pictures are of you ladies! I'd love to see the snapper who decided to sue a customer, for displaying pictures of THEMSELVES which they are trying to sell... I already bought mine, before you all get defensive! Just a suggestion is al
  18. The pic's still there Kay, it's hosted on my own server and it's definitely working. Try hitting refresh.
  19. Please read!! If you are an owner of a dog that belongs to a 'dangerous breed' category or even if it doesn't, and you also have a child or a visiting small child please take this as a warning. Don't leave your dog with a small child unattended under any circumstances! Only one little moment was enough for the following to happen... Thank you. Rover.
  20. The insurance Tom posted up (pinned at the top of this forum) seems like a good deal. Click me.
  21. Switch him to proper food (raw meaty bones, carcasses etc). It's not easy to eat a small pellet of powdered, chalky bone dust... There's so much indigestible muck sprayed with chemical attractants in a lot of commercial food, it's as appetising to them after it's come out as it was when it went in. A good wholesome RMB diet will soon put him right. JMHO.
  22. I was reading this yesterday. What a shame and a sad waste of life According to the scraps of info on YouTube (she was a decent singer imho), she liked her fishing so more one of us than not. I wish we had 'yotes here too - it'd be something else for the dogs to play with and might just make the nosey arsed hikers stay in Wetherspoons
  23. Ah, my bad. I thought you meant at different angles (as in, your position in relation to the screen) rather than the angle of the lid itself. In that case it's probably a loose cable, the one that connects the LCD screen to the motherboard. My sister's laptop developed the same thing recently, and it's only a few months old. Wasn't worth sending off for repair, I just told her to take it to a PC shop to have the cable reseated. There's still a slight chance there's another issue, but I doubt it else the line wouldn't come and go when you wobble the screen/lid about. Loose cable is a perfect fi
  24. Just to add, I know it should go without saying but if it's under 12 months old it'd be worth giving the retailer some earache and seeing what they offer you...
  25. If it was scattered, I'd say it was dead pixels. If it went off and on if you moved the screen/lid around, it'd be a loose cable to the internal screen itself. But since it's a permanent line it sounds like there's been some damage to it, or a weight put on it or something. The fact it disappears at different viewing angles doesn't mean much, as TN panels (the ones in the majority of laptops and TFTs today) have limited viewing angles anyway. Worst case scenario is you need a new screen (the internal thing, not a whole new lid). Depending on the age of it and the model (common v rare) a new
