  1. get £20-30 notes for them if you get to the right audience... farmers markets, decent boot sales, village fete's / fairs. find a few pubs where lots of walkers go, stick a few behind the bar (offer the gaffer a free one) on sale or return. ebay's an idea, but like you said thing is with sticks when buying, you need to get a feel of it before you part with you cash. tend to find the old boys mainly go for a shorter stick, about thigh hight, somthing for them to lean on. nice sticks by the way
  2. No problem Tom, i got the link to your blog from another hunting site, so, what goes around comes around eh ? i've been into my fishing for as long as i can remember and one day will get a crack at sport fishing, would love to do it somwhere different though, definately not florida ! good site this, its got its fair share of tit heads but, no more than any other walk of life / community. there are some really knowledgable lads on here who give out good advice on all sorts, not just hunting. they dont dress it up though, so if your easily offended (which i doubt), best leave now. ATB Clive
  3. Welcome aboard Tom. there are some really good lads on here with lots of sound advice (in amongst the drivel ) available on a multitude of topics, not just hunting. like i said before, i enjoy reading your blog and think you have a very easy going writing style and funny to boot. ATB clive.
  4. really like the look of your catty's, checked out the ones on your website, again some real nice work. i'm looking for an everyday catty, somthing i can put in the pocket without too much of a bulge! i want somthing thats got the power needed to knock stuff over at close ranges and is not gonna take me an age to master, user friendly if you like.... can you PM with a few suggestions and prices please Rob ? cheers clive

  12. innocent untill proven guilty but, you dont think it may have been a failed attempt at just torching the house so they could get another, bigger one? feel free to slate me but after that Karen Matthews episode and a few like it, nothing around how low some people will stoop in pursuit of an easy quid surprises me anymore. sad but unfortunately true. poor kids, i hope whoever is found guilty is convicted, still wont be anywhere near the justice the kids deserve though.

  14. try UKcampsite.co.uk, they have facility to search european campsites and reviews from people that have stayed there. they've got a forum an all, never used it, but would imagine there will be some folk who have done just what your planning.
  15. is it any good on buffalo, and unicorns daytime ? yup, single handed, retrieves, skins + joints into family size roast portions, just needs finishing off (seasoning the meat skills are a bit lacking), any trial welcome, your land, saving the buffalo and unicorns for the 1st frost round here...

  22. i've been once, for the day, year before last, no way was a day enough to take it all in. the amount of stalls and variety of exhibtors is second to none. pretty much every aspect of country life / hunting covered, it did seem to me to be weighted to the gun dog / shooting side of hunting though, but this could be down to the fact that i was only there for the 1 day. plenty of money there too, fairly affluent crowd if you know what i mean..... dont know whether you've checked entry / camping prices yet, but it aint cheap, i'd go as far as to say the campings a rip-off, only way to make it
