You could stick it on preloved.co.uk, Gumtree or even free ads.. Always see dogs for sale on there. Or you could donate and stick it on here Best of luck mate, it's sad to loose a dog. But you gotta do what you gotta do.

I would advertise it online... Like you just did. But this forum requires a donation to advertise things for sale

Tell me about it mate. It's like a f*****g bog around my way.

Richie I just tried sending you a PM but it wont work.

http://www.spanishdogs.com/history/coursing.htm I think it's been written by someone with little hunting knowledge. But that is the gist of it.

Lovely looking pup. Well done mate.

is yours the same as that one on ebay if so there only good for roost shooting no good for running a dog in beams to narrow and as a blue tint to the light atb I think mine was this one. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1800-Lumen-Zoomable-CREE-XM-L-T6-LED-18650-Flashlight-Torch-Light-18650-Charger-/300747528367?pt=UK_SportsLeisure_Camping_LightsLanternsTorches&hash=item4605f318af But i'm not sure as the other half used her ebay to get it. Yeah, like you said, the beam is real narrow and very white/blueish. It's also annoying as it has 4 or 5 different modes and you need to click thr

I have the same one. Cost me £12.00 from China and arrived in under 2 weeks. This guy is pulling a fast one. And it's definitely not 'the best' It's good for a quick mooch about and as a back up torch. But it wont ever replace the real deal. I took mine out for the first time last night actually. I'll get a few pictures and a video up reviewing it soon.

The Basque Country and northern Spain has a slightly different climate. It isn't as dry as other regions of Spain. Some of which are classified as desert. It's pretty green in the north. The south is very dry, most of the terrain is almost dust. Rather than hard and compact it's loose and dusty. I like the sound of a trip over there. I'll push to see what leads I can get. But it would have to be in the north. The heat and terrain would kill the dogs in the south. I took my 3/4 ghound over there with me. Plenty of hares about, but the heat and the steepness of the mountains killed her. A

I'm not denying that it happens. I know it happens. But what do you mean by 'they'. You can't tare all Spanish Lurcher / Greyhound owners with the same brush. The bad stories always make the media. Just like here. I know people with Lurchers in Spain. Even people that coursed. 'They' would never tread their dogs like that. This is the very story being blown up and used by the anti's to try and enforce a ban in Spain.

Stop portraying the Spanish to be monsters. They are hardly going to kidnap his dog and torture it for their amusement. I also lived there and I didn't see any signs of coursing dogs being killed. Spain has a HUGE problem with dogs. There are strays EVERYWHERE. Not just coursing dogs. Dogs are free to roam where they like and are hardly ever spade. This results in lots of litters and nowhere to keep them. Dogs are often left on the dry riverbeds to fend for themselves. All kinds of dogs. Not just coursing dogs. Yes there are cases of dogs being found in bad states... hanging burning etc,

Spanish or portuguese is not a problem. Cheers. Ok leave it with me. I have some Spanish family over at the moment. Will have a word with them. Il PM you.

You probably seen these before as they are on youtube. The Television station tve often have hare coursing on during the day. There was a bar I used to go to regularly and it would be on the tv's. A lot of older guys like to bet on it much like greyhound racing. It's mostly northern Spain though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BfKe2Tf7U8

I can probably help you out if you speak Spanish...

Jacqui Smith has been in a few interviews lately, I wouldn't be surprised if it came from her.

What a joke!

As other have said, don't go jumping in the deep end without researching. A dog is for life and you could quite easily end up buying a St Bernard X if you aren't careful. Have a read around the forums, speak to like minded people and decide what particular breed you would like. There's a lot more to the sport than buying a lurcher or a greyhound and bagging up rabbits.

I'm pretty sure once you become 'resident' in most European countries you are then obligated to change the vehicles registration. It used to be a 6 month limit. But it's difficult to keep track on foreign vehicles. There is also no way to prove that the vehicle hasn't returned home in previous months and is only here again for a 'holiday' thus, resetting the 6 months. I'm unsure if it's changed though.

My old bitch would stay by my side when lamping. I never used a slip on her. Even when rabbits were spotted on the lamp she would stay by my side until I gave the signal to go. My mates dog was the same, we used to work them together off the slip. Can't say the same about my new dog though Each dog is different.

I quite believe it. Just not something I thought happened more than once in a blue moon. Ya learn something new everyday.

Hares going to ground?

Nice mate. Good dog for the golf courses! Mine would probably tear it up! Even better when your dog drives you around! Is it difficult to train dogs to drive a John Deere

First night on permission. First catch!
Matt3699 replied to Matt3699's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Yeah mate, I know. I have recently been taking her for walks on hard ground. It's been too convenient for me as i'm surrounded by fields... And I would rather walk her in them in hope of a quick run, instead of around the village... But yeah, I agree they could do with tightening up a little -

I took your advice. It was foggy last night so was only out for around 20 mins. I got 2 runs and she got both of them! 2/2 this time. Very pleased with her.
