  1. Yeah that is the most obvious answer. I know I need to get her out in different places. It's difficult because of my lack of permission and long working hours. I'm gonna take a drive this weekend and give her a good run somewhere else.
  2. My Bitch is about 15 months old now. She is a Saluki X and it felt like she would remain a puppy all her life. I have noticed over the last couple of months that she is finally maturing and losing the bad puppy habits that have frustrated me for so long. She is hunting well and really showing great potential. I haven't worked her much. She had a quick show of the lamp when she was younger and responded well. Most of the time I am taking her out in the evening, on a public footpath with lots of bunnies about. The only trouble is that because this path is walked a lot by the public, the rabb
  3. Nice one, i shall be there with the bitch.
  4. My Saluki X is the same age. She tests my patience too! Her recall is spot on when it's just me and her... It's brilliant, but if she see's or even hears another dog/person she runs off and there is no stopping her. It's really frustrating. She just loves to play and nothing I do makes her come back. I have to run after her after screaming for her to come back looking like someone that can't control a dog. But I can! I'm using different methods and she is slowly getting there.
  5. Cheers, not been on here for a while. Nearly killed her the other night when she chewed up my best jumper! She has a little personality on her alright!
  6. Northern Ireland is part of the UK so i would say no, they are not legal to course over there.
  7. Itching in the ears? Could be mites.
  8. So no 1 knows if it's benji out of Ireland.
  9. How do I make a post in that section? I know threads need to be approved... But it tells me all topics are locked and i can't figure out how to post on an existing thread/topic
  10. Plus, this website doesn't want to appear to condone illegal activities such as hare coursing. Although we all love and miss it. The more we show it's being carried out in the UK Illegally the more the law will come down on us. Not only that, but this website could actually be closed down if it supported these threads. And if the law really wanted to push it, IP's could be obtained and searches carried out. Thus resulting in arrests and dogs being taken.
  11. Cheers mate. Was going to say the same about your first pup. He's what I would be looking to breed her too when the times right Nothing fancy in her as far as I know. Got her off a lad near Nottingham. Sire was a Saluki Greyhound. Dam was a Saluki Greyhound Collie. Top looking dogs and workers apparently.
  12. Some very nice looking dogs for next season! Here is my Bitch Bella. She's ready to tear it up next season
  13. I have one of those^ Used to drive it on the river beds in Spain. Getting back to the L200, I have one at the moment. I must admit I'm disappointed with the 4x4 on it. It's not great even in the easiest of situations. And I tested it a lot. It drinks fuel anything too!
  14. need to do something better dont they mate! just a quick question i mite sound abit dull but hunting with dogs is not illegal isit?unless its fox hunting,im new to all this and need to ask a couple of questions because when i get my lurcher ans am leaving early ect should i take abit more care leaving with the dog as neighbours could report it and could potentioally have my dog taken ect your kidding me arent you. yes its illegal. i know some scottish laws differ from the laws down south, but trust me up here, if they catch you, your getting done big time. As for the neighbours, well te
  15. Yeah it's pretty difficult It's been tried and failed in the past... (releasing captive bred hares) I'm pretty sure there was a study in Italy where they released captive bred hares back into the wild. I think 90% of them died within a month. I will try and find the study. EDIT: Found it. http://www.wildlifebiology.com/Downloads/Article/287/En/6_3_Angelici.pdf
  16. I would say that is your problem right there. A good hunting shop should be able to get parts/ fix it for you if you can't find anything online.
  17. It's difficult to asses the situation when we all have little knowledge of what actually happened. This is a discussion board and people are discussing what could of happened. Until the OP comes back online and decides to enlighten us speculation will continue.
