  5. plenty tongue in cheek when these plummers get a mention, guilty of it myself and never even seen one work lol but i do trust some lads i know with their own personal experiences of working them and none have rated them, others opinions id take with a pinch of salt, plucky obviously knows his stuff and if he says 95% of them are poor thats good enough for me. fancied working one myself so tried sourcing a decent pup only to be told they aint for me ffs lol, give it up seen them or not they aint no super breed warranting super price tags. il stick to the spaniel x terriers i know where im

  7. Maybe it depends on the ground like you say. I reckon 90% of the times my terrier bolts something from cover she's right behind it and follows it out. Obviously she can't run but if she could, she would be doing the flushing and the catching. I can see why lads want to go down this route. im not disputing what your saying nor whats said above i just think personaly i catch more with a lurcher that stays out side cover and knows its job,not even saying one way is better than the other personal preference maybe, take your picture you put up for example if something slipped out 20/30yards
  8. i read the first post no mention of working it along side bigger lurchers hence my comment, contrary to popular belief not everything on here is about getting one up on others or even arguing a point,i can see in certain circumstances a lurcher could enter cover and follow up if its pushed something out,you make it sound very easy must be a big plus for you but what i find is a lot of game in thick cover will try and slip away un noticed long before the bushers up its arse hence my lurcher needs to be out side at all times.it works for you fair play, mine works for me atb
  9. dont mind a lurcher hitting cover hard when in pursuit of quarry and even following in but to have one ratching about deep in cover with the bushers as game is exiting 40 yards away aint no use to me so cant see the point, maybe the type cover you hunt plays a part fecked if i know lol
  10. fair play but have to say i do think you got it easy fishing out there lol
  11. hard work finding a good one when 95% of them are shite, odds are far to long for my liking
  12. Spot on fancy a go at that myself
  13. took mine corn jumping today
  14. £160 for a pup chipped and ready to go aint feck all to be fair, its there for all to see they going to be given the best of starts and raised proper for the new owners by someone that obviously works his dogs and knows his shit,if i was on the look out id snatch one up atb with them
  15. I like to see a mutt working early season nettles,if they will enter them, many a busher refuses, they will enter anything, geez they sting.their desire to hunt far out weighs any thoughts of self preservation
