  1. Fantastic looking dogs AH. I for one am very envious of you for having the freedom to work your dogs in the way they should be worked. I wish you many happy seasons hunting
  2. Years ago a friend bought me back some eggs from Thailand. He wrapped them in carbon paper individually then in a towel in his suitcase.Out of 14 eggs 6 hatched, 3 cocks ,3 hens, i was very happy! The carbon paper is supposed to combat the x rays.
  3. One of my wifes gay hairdresser friends makes a LOT of money from his hobby!!!
  4. What do you lads and lasses do to earn a bit of money apart from your main job? I dont mean hundreds of pounds but just something you do for a hobby but you make a bit of beer money from. P.S. i am not a taxman!!!!
  5. We have a 7 foot fake one and the mrs and little boys sort it out. We had a real one once, the feckin thing was full of mice!
  6. Ive got an Isuzu trooper van, i love it!
  7. My brother made a cheap, simple and very effective alarm for his shed door which consisted of a car battery, car horn and interior light door switch so that if the door was opened when switched on the hooter would sound off. If someone is sneaking about at night and they hear a loud noise like that surely it would be enough to make em shit their pants and feck off sharpish?
  8. I have seen one of the old boys from my way using it for boot laces!
  9. Unfortunately with five kids that eat like piranhas my boot budget doesnt allow for a posh pair! My size 12 army boots usually get a generous coat of polish and then i rub vaseline all over, works for me.

    Bullshitters!!!

I like the one you say to your new girlfriend, " of course i wont come in your mouth!" BULLSHITE!!!!!!!
  11. That sounds interesting, where would i get it from?
  12. I wouldnt buy ferrets from a market as i already have my own that i have kept and bred for years, but my lad had his heart set on it and bought it with his own money. He has been kept well away from my ferts and he is on his own in a spare cage. He is a young hob so i think we will give him a chance. I fully understand what your saying about buying from a market but as i say its his money and if it keeps him off the playstation and gets him interested in field sports then i will support him all the way.
  13. Against much protesting from me my lad bought a polecat hob from the local market. Admittedly he is a beauty and in very good condition, and only cost a fiver but when we got him home he turned into a bengal tiger! I dont think he has ever been handled and unless he is preoccupied with some meat you cannot touch him. I have had some wild ferrets in the past but this one means business! The question is should we persevere with him, or should i put him down? Does anyone have any ideas on how to calm him down sufficiently to be able to work him so we can see if he is worth keeping?
  14. I did notice that Hancocks dont seem to advertise in it now. Is earth dog running dog still going? and if so how much is a subscription these days? that was always a good read.
  15. Its the first time i have bought it in years, feck i was bored though.
  16. Feckin hell, have they got a new editor or something? I was in asda earlier waiting for the missus and i bought a copy out of boredom, and it wasnt too bad a read! Its still nowhere as good as the old shooting news but i was surprised. Price has gone down too.

    Lincolnshire

I was born and bred in Lincolnshire not far from where they used to run the Barbican Cup. Was great before the ban, had lots of permission and was tripping over hares when you went out. I moved to Cambridgeshire five years ago but still visit family there but nowadays you need an east european or Portugese passport to be even considered for the housing list.
  18. I know a lot of people on here didnt like Whin, and i dont know him but he can certainly turn out cracking pups by the looks of it. Bring back Whin, i miss the craic ( once i have deciphered his posts!)
  19. My father passed away suddenly twelve years ago. He was a strong tough bloke who would fight any man or men, i saw it myself, yet he never so much as raised his voice to us or my mam. He taught me more about life and nature than any school or university ever could. His death was such a shock, and left a very big hole in my life, i still miss him, and would love just one more day with him.

    Joke

Saint Peter is sitting at the pearly gates when a gang of twenty travellers turn up wanting to get in to heaven. Saint peter informs God, who says to them " there are only enough places for ten, so sort out amongst yourselves who will come in." Half an hour later saint peter says to God " theyve gone!" God says " what, all of them? " saint peter says " NO, THE GATES!!!! "
  21. I have got four boys and one girl and there have been a lot of times when i would have happily swapped her for another four boys! Women seem a lot more complex than us blokes right from the off.
  22. I can remember watching a program with my eldest two called Roger and the Rotten Trolls with Martin Clunes narrating it .That was quite funny.
  23. Michael Bentines Potty time, Felix the cat and Woody woodpecker show
  24. Does anyone remember Catweasel? And Chorlton and the Wheelies?
  25. Ah feck, those were the days, Action Man, spangles, chopper bikes, commando comic books ( 8 pence ), and World of Sport with Dickie Davies!
