irishman, you wana go away and re- educate the whole way you think terrierwork is or should be conducted...and first and foremost its not sport!!! it is what it is and that is vermin/pest control now away and gave your head a shake lad..
-
just confirmed everything i need to know from you irishman.....
-
LMAO..

are you still drunk from paddys day or is it just a straight wind up? lol.... and did you ask the i.w.t.f. permisssion to use their pictures?

its called pest control for a reason! if you have a pest at this time of year worrying poults or stock then it has to be controlled simple as! ive said this before it is no fun for any genuine terrier man to dispatch any animal may it be in the middle of winter or the middle of spring/ summer, but when farmers from your permission are calling for you to do a callout at this time of the year on your permission then im sorry but im on my way.... the farmer/gamekeeper looses any stock in the land im on and i dont come when asked to sort it then i wouldnt be allowed back! its called terrier wor

I think its more a case that theyve worn them shiney lol ... id be widening that dig a bit too, nowt worse than down a few feet and being in a poke that tight you cant move, hows that man going to bend down right in that pit when he breaks through ? bit claustrphobic looking for me..... nowt wrong with the grade of sand they were digging.... it wasnt fine running...thats more like the sticky fawn muck type we have here! good result though men.

Mate owned 1 ive wrote about the dog before, bobby was his name papered up but cant remember how much was paid for him! got him when he was 15 months entered easy but sadly after around 7 succesful pest control call outs on his own.. decided the game was not for him!

So , any animal that isnt there as part of the landscape should be tortured , . NO animal should be tortured ! Wether it is part of the landscape or not ! OR Below/above ground ! lol..sorry maybe i worded it wrong! anything above ground if a terrier pup has been reared right should be seen as part of the landscape..i.e. something they see every day and should know to leave well alone as neil said if enough time is spent with a pup then NO means NO!... and correct no animal, human or anything else on this planet should ever be tortured...but i meant if a terrier pup is constantly chas

i think its more to do with the freedom they have to roam and hunt at will is the reason why this terrier may be a jack of all trades?? i dont know either im just summising! but think about it these men roam a countryside with relaxed laws, so can allow there terrier to roam free to flush whatever quarry is put in front of them! i will agree here that this would not be my type of hunting. as i like earthwork i would have the dog/bitch for earthwork only.... so it would be this aspect and this aspect only that i would judge the dog on not as per say hunting but earthwork... and if they didnt s

beat me to it unlacedgecko.... its entirely up to the individual rearing the pup to introduce it to stock of all kinds...now admittingly that may be quite challenging afterall they do say there a highly strung terrier.... but at the end of the day that wouldnt bother me afterall its earth work id want them for not boar or deer or retreiving so it would just be kept on the lead till i got to a hole that needed checked!... was there not suspicion and doubts cast upon the patterdale not just 50 years ago!! now every one wants 1 or has 1...and ive seen my fair share of bad ones of these about to

well had arranged with a man to meet me at my house this morning after all that bad rain this last few days, 9 o clock was a nice bright morning but my accquaintance hadnt arrived yet! late as usual, so i buzz him, he in the van and all on the way to mine so i thought fine he will be here in another 15 mins or so... lol half hour later he still not here so im thinking somethings happened so i buzz him again...where you at?? he ran out of diesel bout 200 yards from the petrol station.. so he ran up got juice in a can comes down puts the fiver can or whatever it was in and tried turning her...s

jawn your more than welcome to come to ireland if you wanted to see how we operate on this side of the world.... and that is a true invitation from me personally not just hype!! you seem like a level headed individual who loves terrier work from all breeds, with the freedom to work quarry that we do not!! but if you would truly like to visit and see terriers work where i operate... start planning for next year... I'd like that....I've only been once before about twenty years ago... and was only there long enough to switch planes and buy a sweater and a bottle of whisky.lol no wh

very fine examples of the jagd there jawn... i liked your description of the breed and your experience with them, i envy your freedom to roam and hunt predators/pests at will.... id have no problem trying this type out... i know there is still a good few black dogs about aswell as the whites and if it came a time when 1 was struggling to find the standard that he/she was used to then id defo make it my business to see them ply their trade and then make a decision...but i defo wouldnt knock what i have never seen...

LOL......

Now now... neil maybe you have took it that way....so im sorry if this has happened .. but I.W.T.F. business, asspirations and intentions is not for open forums... its for terriermen/women who want to protect, preserve and promote the working terrier in 2014 and many many years beyond, who put egos and dislikes aside and stand together and unite...for 1 purpose and 1 purpose only to PROTECT the working terrier, and the very people who work them and what very little freedom we have left... they are a very dedicated committee with many dedicated members who not only spend every spare hour worki

ALROUNDER, i am sorry to hear of you unfortunate incident, if you had been a member of the I.W.T.F. and had of informed us at the time of the situation we may have been able to give you some advice and pointed you in the right direction of how to proceed about getting your equipment back! Which we have already been able to do for 2 I.W.T.F. members from NI and are both members off here..... Now the I.W.T.F. is a Federation and has a voted in committee, it has no representitives NORTH or SOUTH a representitive is the way the fell and moorland operate as that is a working terrier club!

sheep aint quarry.... so we dont break anything!! all terrier terrier pups from a young age, now when i say terrier i mean earth dog used soley for vermin control underground... should have already been schooled from a very early age that sheep are part of the landscape and prescide above ground and are to be protected not tortured! once the terrier owner gets this in his mindset not his ego, then instead of the pub he will spend time schooling his pup.....
-
lol...surely when you broke threw the first time and knew the dog had shifted on another 8-9 feet in front...would it not a been better to drop another 6ft dig down were the dog was at than to trench the thing and leave it like a vietnam fox hole?? lol..doubt you could find your car keys if they were in your pocket....
-
a great friend to the I.W.T.F. and had been fortunate enough to meet the man on 3 occassions, a wealth of knowledge in the terrier world... RIP TAM PARKER.
