  3. Dropped on this spot again tonight and managed to bag this big dog fox. Came in nicely. After I’d shot him, I had the thermal spotter on the far hill and there was another fox watching. It didn’t hang around long though.
  4. Rodney Marsh, legendary Aussie wicket keeper and pommie hater has passed away after having a heart attack. Watch out Lillee!
  5. Dropped on a spot I haven’t been on for a few weeks due to the farmer passing away. His wife still wants me to visit so I went up on Friday. I seen four charlies, two pairs close together. Managed to get the two dog foxes and went again tonight. Got this vixen after she jumped a wall as I was lining up a rabbit. I Checked with the thermal to make sure the rabbit was still there, then the vixen appeared on the wall behind the rabbit. Waited until she dropped onto the field. Unlucky for her. .22 Hornet at 85 yards
  6. The Scottish government went against all advice and evidence, even its own, to bring this in. The loser will be the fox and of course farmers and landowners. The fox is shot to feck down here and the same will now apply north of the border. People playing politics with ways of life and jobs. The country is fecked

    Olive ?

Don’t want announcing bad news becoming a habit but I’ve just heard Olive from “On The Buses” passed away on Tuesday after a fire at her home. Great actor and very funny in that series. RIP Olive
  8. RIP Gary Brooker of Procal Harum. Sang one of the most iconic songs of the sixties, “A Whiter Shade Of Pale”, a timeless classic. Glad I got to see him a few years ago in Manchester
  9. Watched “Belfast” last week. Not a bad film, good soundtrack.
  10. Type your question in on google, there’s lots of info there telling you the difference ??
  11. A friend e-mailed the organisers about this last week and got blocked by them on Twitter. Parking is £12 pre booked or £16 on the day. It’s £15.50 for kids, those in prams or strollers get in free, so any kid say over 3 and it’s £15.50 . I’ll save my money and go to the northern show in Harrogate in May, £13 and free parking. Poor decision by the organisers and a big own goal
  12. It’s got record facility and range finder. I don’t use either
  13. XM30s is what I’ve got, and it’s brilliant. Just does what I want it to and is plenty for me. I can see foxes out to hundreds of yards if you know your quarry and how it behaves in the field. No need for me to change to anything else, I don’t need to see the hairs on a foxes arse or the colour of its eyes
  14. Can’t believe it, Meatloaf is brown bread ?
  15. The MSN, remainers and Cummins
  16. Condolences to Mrs Loaf, RIP Marvin
  17. Tamla Motown star R Dean Taylor has passed away it’s just been announced. “There’s A Ghost In My House” and “Indiana Wants Me” are two songs that did well for him. Danced to those back in the day. RIP R Dean
  18. I’ve just finished Sean Kelly’s autobiography, it’s a good read. Anything factual cycling wise I find interesting as I used to do a lot in my younger days. Tim Moore writes a good book on his travels around the world on a bike and changing topic, Graham Nashs book is brilliant ??
