  1. Elephant man with tentacles? Or do I need to clean my specs? Like the shading and lines though Massively over-due getting some more done myself !
  2. If you are on give me a add mate , I'll not get you in too much trouble with the wife Not on there mate - never did subscribe to the idea of these social networking sites. Only network with people on the web who I've got things in common with really - ie hunting, shooting, bikes, jaguars. Met some truly brilliant people here and there thru this site and, pigeon watch before it went tits up. Great to chat with like-minded individuals and learn things I don't know too
  3. Can't beat a cajun mixed game banquet, mmmmm

  4. Me too - as I told Paul, I blame him for getting me into lurchers lol! Wouldn't be without mine now Fave pic from the day is thumb nail no2 Paul - love the dog heading for the trail of falling feathers. As I recall he'd run 100 odd yards to get to that point in the pic.
  5. Pups do love to chew! Must be hellish when the milk teeth are nearly ready to go. My pup's jaws are almost constantly on the go wanting to chew something - bones, her bed, the cats...
  6. Sounds like a more complicated story than poaching to me; revenge? Regarding killing the birds and just leaving them to rot - as my old Gran used to say "waste not, want not". God rest her, its a different world now and one she probably wouldn't like very much
  7. Does 'controlled' mean slower?I reckon we need those lighter bullets; its hard to cope with the rainbow trajectory of the 17 grain stuff
  8. As an example of the opposite case, we have an old bloke in the village who some years ago threatened harm to my kids. The details are to complicated to bore you all with but I confronted him and showed him that his reasons for threatening the kids safety were unfounded and he accepted that. He then said "...but I'm not the kind of man that apologises" I said "well that says a lot about the kind of man you are then." His wife just nodded.
  9. Good question! Here's another. On my ticket it says 'for ground game, vermin and all legal quarry' So by home office definition, is fox covered?
  10. Reprobate. if you don`t mind! Or General of the "Band of Idiots" if you want to be formal. Actually Rake aboot, you're a reet honourable delinquent
  11. You sir, are what is known in common parlance, as a " Billy Bullshitter" you are talking utter crap.. I suspect you have NO experience in firearms,, and anybody that comes on here spouting about how they made "special forces" bullets,, is talking bollocks. I think I pipped you to the calling BS line - 'I name that BS tune in 2'
  12. lol! original age estimation just dropped a couple of years
  13. Cheeky beggar! I'm an honours graduate from the university of Birmingham, so my powers of comprehension are well qualified. Anyone who says 'I would love to.......but....' usually cannot back up their professed expertise with substance. If your rationale was cojent and credible, why would I not believe it? Debate is open for you in the airgun section.
  14. Cheers Matt - I think the salient bit was on the previous page richmcgin said: 'As a firearms instructor i have a fair experience of most caliburs and a fair knowledge of how they behave during their short journey. its like using a .177 air rifle for shoting rabbits we all know its posible but the diflection risk is higher than that of the .22. if you would like a complete lesson on balistics and resonsible behavour i do charge.'
  15. lol! Tegater said about the yards plucking I've found that if you hit the cranium of a bunny with a 12fpe pellet, be it .177 or .22, the effect is always the same The rabbits don't seem to care much about 'stopping power' as perceived by people.
  16. I know mate; at the heights they were coming in sometimes you can hit them and its just not hard enough! That's why I upped my chokes a notch each - even then, I had a few fly on a bit too far for any dog to retrieve. Still, if it was too easy, it'd be boring! Nice meeting you too Gary - good luck with your sgc
