  3. Muay Thai or TKD? if 2 opponents fought, 1 thai boxer, 1 tae kwon do proponent of equal strength, skill, experience, who would win?
  4. I don't know many that regularly shoot bunnies a long way past 75 yards with a rimmie, but I do know some that are good with the hmr on bunnies to 200 yards (conditions depending). You're dead right though; horses for courses. Each has its niche, the rimmie being the more versatile IMHO. Cheers D
  5. For me its .22 for a springer, .177 for pre-charged.
  6. Sounds like blood splatter then. Not good on any bluing and rusts really rapidly.
  7. Ultra single shot - accurate, but HORRIBLE cocking system. It really stinks! Falcon - good buy. Stealth goodbye! Had one, what a waste of money! Would rather have a springer.
  8. Can't say as I agree with you on 2 out of 3 points rich, such is lifes rich pageant
  9. My avatar is me lol! So are you sick with envy? For the sake of your ticker, I hope your av isn't you
  10. hmr 20p a pop at northampton gun. Regarding which is best, it's horses for course. Despite some fanciful claims across the net, realistically the .22lr is a shorter range tool, great for really quiet bunny bopping with subs, say 50 to 75 yards for most half decent mortals. The .17 is fantastic on crows, magpies and other wary quarry for much longer ranges, say 75 to 200 yards (much further for some) and is fab for shooting down the length of hedgerows. It is noisy though and isn't much use around buildings such as farms because it can be quite intrusive. If I could only have one, it
  11. Hi Duncan, Sorry totally dissagree with that it will go through the brain and out the other side At PBR, its imprtant to transfere as much shock to the brain as possible to shut it down, therefore cocking only to the lower power is less likely to over penetrate (although its still possible) but because it's travelling slower, more kinetic enegy is transfered into the surrounding brain tissue and its that that shuts down the brain. The shot from the top of the head will have had further to go and so impart more shock energy to the system. The only shot that will both kill a bunny and pre
  12. That power level will come up. Try to ignore the reading and keep up with the practise. After a tin or more of pellets, re chrono it and you may even find it's gone over the limit. When they bed in, they get more efficient and produce more power. Oh, and welcome to the forum Duncan. Ps, vmach kit is barely an improvement over the original airarms kit- they come with synthetic bearings etc anyway.
  13. Hello mate !!!! Hi Sjt, hope you're well
  14. I used em to despatch chickens (ok ok, I was a pussy and for all they were table birds we raised, they all had names, couldn't bring myself to ring their necks!). Normal way round pellet point blank, ages to stop moving. Backwards, instant despatch. A lot of whack, putting it technically
  15. Sjt - are you a copy/paste post whore?
  16. Put the pellet in the breach backwards, fires like an extreme hollow point, kills quick. Obviously, if its a dual power level HW45, cock it all the way. Cheers Duncan
  17. Don't be too flattered- they're keeping their post counts up Welcome along and I hope you enjoy your journey back to hunting, Graham. ATB Duncan.
  18. Welcome Coxxy, I'd suggest you have a look at the BASC website - you'll find all the legal do's and don'ts on there if you have a look. Cheers Duncan
