  1. Just got back to the club today after trying Webley Mosquitos .22 Quite impressive to be honest, some very good groups and the poi was 1" above the Wehirauch Field & Target Specials. The difference is weight is 0.4 grains (Mosquitos 14.3grains and Wehirauch F&T Special 14.7grains). I haven't tested the pellets out further than 25m as that is the limit of our indoor range but the target and chrono figures were quite impressive. All shots cleared through a hole around half the size of a 5p coin. The chrono figures are as follows: 601, 601, 602, 598, 596, 602, 602, 597, 599, 5
  2. Get this guy told zini http://www.airgunbbs.com/showthread.php?551876-August-Airgunworld-Mink-article.
  3. Weihrauch Field & Target Special are excellent - check out my channel http://www.youtube.com/user/elliottg123?feature=mhsn
  4. Nice post and as said, nice permission! How do you find the shooting sticks? Would have been really handy on the run up to the bailing when the grass was long - think I'll have to make a set ATB
  5. I bet they'd be one hell of a rifle tuned (if they even need tuning?!). Would like to see the result of a tench reg fitted.. they really would take some beating
  6. Hi Bill, did a couple of chrono tests with my HW100 and found my rifle was running around the similar ft/lb mark as your BSA Scorpion SE until I used my Napier Pull Through Kit after which it rose to 11.6ft/lb using the same pellets. Might be worth mopping the barrel out and running a short string over the chrono to see if it makes a difference for you? I did a couple of YouTube vids for mine to show the difference of using the Napier Pull Through. Not the most exciting videos to watch but it proves the point Before: http://www.youtube.com/user/elliottg123?feature=mhsn#p/a/u/2/3wH5d9
  7. What a lovely looking rifle - that's the Scorpion SE then eh? Hope it shoots as good as it looks, really like the look of that, its like a sleeker, lightweight R10 and the stock looks the muts nuts too ATB
  8. Nice shooting and a nice write-up Moley. Nothing better than getting out with the rifle, regardless of the weather
  9. Lol, thanks for the tip, never heard of that one before - I may well give it a try Wonder how it works.. ATB
  10. Always a proud moment when you manage a corvid, especially crows, which in my opinion are the most difficult and intelligent quarry - so I was pretty pleased with two! Yes the bird of prey decoys are fantastic, especially when the young have fledged the nest, grown in confidence and the fields have been bailed - such as my shoot. Good luck when you have a pop, let me know how you get on ATB
  11. Had some more success with the little owl decoy and hide again this morning. After noticing over 50 crows (yes crows, not rooks!) on one of my permissions I thought it about time to concentrate on the corvids. I placed the cammo net on the usual woodland fringe and the little owl decoy on the dry stone wall at a lasered 30 yards away. Once again, no sooner had I returned to the hide when all hell broke loose! Within 5 minutes I'd taken my first crow at 30 yards, a three quarter grown one that had landed around 3ft away from my decoy. As soon as this crow dropped over 20 then began
  12. Here's a review of my scope http://www.youtube.com/user/GunMartTV#p/u/13/VGb-9rJ29OY ATB
  13. Nice one zini.. but you really do need to upload some more free ones onto YouTube, you're getting a bit lazy and I enjoy watching them..
  14. Great shooting, real eye opener with the .25 calibre. Its all about shot placement, never mind all this rubbish about .177's being better because of the flat trajectory. Wouldn't mind seeing a review of the .25 calibre, as you say with target tests. ATB
  15. Check out the MTC range. I have the MTC Viper 4-16x50 on my HW100 and its by far the best scope I've ever owned http://www.mtcoptics...tcScope_Vip.htm ATB
  16. Looks good, how much you after?
  17. Thanks Davy, pretty new to all the video stuff - I've watched most of yours and zini's and that's where I got the inspiration Just haven't got a decent camera or any editing software. I'm using my bloody blackberry at the moment! Hoping to buy a decent camera soon - what would you reccomend? ATB Elliott
  18. That looks great, tell us how you got the finish
  19. Ditto, had mine for around 18 months. Awesome!
  20. Before swapping from Falcon Accuracy Plus to Weihrauch Field Target Special I checked my aim points from 25 - 50 yards http://www.youtube.c...nel_video_title After an hour's walk around one of my permissions I bagged three, all taken within 3 or 4 minutes of each other, alongside one fenceline in the field the farmer had asked me to clear for him. The .22 HW100 combined with harris bipod and laser ranger finder is an impressive combo and the remaining rabbits didn't hear or even react to any of the shots. Thanks to the HW silencer the loudest crack was the pellet hitting home. Two
  21. This still for sale? Would like to see some pictures ATB
  22. Good first post, but don't shoot Hares with your airgun, stick to the rabbits ATB
