  1. I'll save up a bit I think and have the HW one as a reserve
  2. Yup, Amazing mate honestly. When it arrived in the post in a cardboard tube it felt empty ( the cardboard tube ). you know how heavy the hw one is on its own!!! plus the added bonus of more shots, mine did around 50 and now it will push 100 and the balance of the rifle is soooooo much nicer. atb scott I'm tempted, just wish I had the spare cash..
  3. Nice shooting, is that the new A&M cylinder? if so, how does it feel on the rifle? ATB
  4. Thanks for the advice chaps I'll give that a try, if anyone else has any further advice I would be greatful
  5. Now then chaps, I'm after a bit of advice from those of you who use digital cameras through your scopes. I've bought the Seben scope mount and a Panasonic Lumix TZ20 and it fits to the rifle scope just fine, however when I use the LCD screen as a viewfinder and swing the rifle to a target the small focus square which indicates the centre of the screen takes a good few seconds to settle, meaning there is an increased risk of parrallax error. Unfortunately on this model of camera there is no 'manual focus' (mistake on my part), however there are that many settings on the camera that I'm sure
  6. Good shooting, impressed with the 72 yarder
  7. Thanks Ryan, will bare that in mind. I've just purchased both so hopefully I'll get some new footage up shortly after it arrives. ATB
  8. After much consideration I've decided to go for a Seben Camera Mount http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Seben-DKA2-digital-camera-camcorder-adapter-PC-USB-/330497289557?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item4cf32c6d55 similar to that used by EdgunUSA (see below vid). You can get them from Ebay for around £30 and the best bit about them is that you can just move them to one side if you want to look through the scope. I recently sold my brummy Webley Raider and as we're expecting our first child (any day now) I'm going to invest in a quality camera. I've decided on the Pan
  9. Cheers Ryan, will be investing in a decent camera and scope mount soon so will have some better footage and some rabbit stalking clips ATB
  10. Hell of a shot, love the Rapid, looks like one hell of an accurate rifle - nice to see these shots being taken with a .22 too Subbed also
  11. Totally agree, think I'll post up a link to your vids and see what they say (I'm HW100KT Owner on there) Hope you're having a great Christmas mate ATB
  12. These type of things give me the pip, typicall BBS really: http://www.airgunbbs.com/showthread.php?574406-Springer-Pellet-on-Pellet I know you haven't got a springer Si but they're even claiming it can't be done with a PCP - reckon either you or Davey would be able to do it on the indoor range at 25m? ATB
  13. Getting a good reputation for good quality video's pal I nailed an empty .22 rimmy case at the club tonight, like you did in your vid, got it first shot with the .22 HW100 too - must have been a tight squeeze
  14. Looks like your videos are being noticed on the HW Owners Club forum too Si, and with good reason: http://weihrauchowners.freeforums.org/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=6829&sid=f2ac5de40faba1a9ce19b27f332196a3&start=15 Keep up the good work ATB
  15. That's a good way of doing it Moley, on chairgun at 'standard mil dot' setting x6 gives me 5m spacings too, but my scope is an MTC Viper which a 'true' mildot at x10 mag - would the steps be accurate at x6 mag? ATB
  16. Awesome that Si, I really need to practice my standing and kneeling shots ATB
  17. Love those pics of your HW100 scott, looks like you have the same set up as me
  18. Each barrel and be different remyd, as can each batch of pellets. I found RWS Superfields in .22 produce too many flyers for my HW100, whether this was because the batch, or my barrel I don't know. Best to try another couple of different pellet types. I'd reccomend Weihrauch's own brand of pellets: Wehirauch Field and Target Special, or JSB Exacts. With regards to the chrono, the HW100's are amazingly consistant as they are regulated. Mine shoots flat from 200 down to 90 Bar (the green zone) with a maximum spread of no more than 10ft/sec over a full string
  19. I've often wondered about the Rapid's myself, I've always been quite fond of them and it was a toss up between an MFR and HW100 and I decided to go for the HW100. I've no regrets but you always wonder what if?!.. There's no chance I could afford another rifle though, circumstances have changed but we can always dream! Be nice to see a video of your set up mate ATB
  20. Chuffed to bits with that mate, thanks for going to the effort Its not as complicated (or as expensive!) as I thought and I think I've got a spare flip up cover knocking about somewhere. Looking forward to having a go with it when I get the camera! Had a look in Curry's and Comet this afternoon to price them up, can't wait to gIve it a go on the HW100 ... now just need to persuade the misus think I've got a good cover story for that one ATB
  21. It is a problem that has been noted with some HW100's. There's a grub screw where the barrel connects to the action, may just need nipping up. Try not to apply too much force when tightening the silencer in future. If, after nipping up the grub screw, the barrel still turns with light pressure when I'd consider sending the rifle to a gunsmith to secure it for you and/or maybe add another to aid the security. I believe Phil on this forum can offer this service if I am not mistaken. A&M Custom Gunsmiths should be able to sort it for you too. ATB
