He's only just started so there will be the odd one I will check if I think it might be occupied. I admit I was one for trying to send dogs into cover when they weren't intrested but there are somethings even they miss.

He has proved that he can do the job now. But, whats the betting if you come across a hole with fresh rabbit signs out side and he does not mark, you will still put the ferret in. TC Are you trying to make a point about something?

I had the exact same thing mate, was a bit pissed off at him when out a mooch coz he wouldn't go into cover or again mark any holes. Got some new permission that is moving with stuff an this is how he's behaving now.

Cheers guys, he broke to the hawk easy but will take a bit longer with the ferret. He's kept on the lead while the ferrets are out for now.

Iv been out the past few weekends and finally things seem to be falling into place with young dog. Don't think he's gonna make the grade as digging dog so iv had him out with the ferrets and hawk. The holes he wasn't intrested in we put the ferret down to check and right enough they were empty. Then he was giving good marks so put the ferret in and sure enough had rabbits bolting. He Hasnt false marked yet and is starting to go into heavier cover and becoming keener, so im pleased with the way he's coming on.

Took try first crow the other night with my male Harris! Seen 2 sitting with there back to a banking facing the wind so managed to sneak round and get a flight down onto them. He refused one the night before flying up to it and then just backing off soni cut him down 3/4 of an ounce and it made the difference!

Red laser. Scan a barcode in a shop of something you want and it goes straight online and tells you where to order it cheaper. Sometimes by a good bit!

I really fancy a springer/beagle. Had a few lurchers but only one would find foxes in cover. How biddable are the spaniel crosses?

Thinking about getting an addition for my terriers that will hunt/ find foxes in cover and put them to ground. Looking for opinions what would be better suited. lurcher cross or hound/spaniel type?

That's a cracking looking pup mate, best thing to get them out early and picking up scents and sounds. What you going to use her for?

My oldest wasn't from working parents, I got her and she turned out to be a great worker for me above and below. I got another from working lines that is still youngish but isn't as good as she was. For £250 I would take a chance on the pup if I needed one. Hope she gets a good working home and a fair chance mate,.
