  1. Before when the dogs were bred say there was 8 in the litter there was always just one or two that got advertised. Now you see litters if 10 and 8 for sale. I seen an ad the other day a guy was going to breed his 2 all rounders, posted a pic of them and asked " why colours do you think the pups will be??
  2. Im trying to get back into the lurchers and get myself a nice little alrounder. Before when I had lurchers I alway knew where my pups came from and had seen or heard of the parents working. Nowadays I don't have the same contacts and lurchers are not so popular round here now. There have been a couple of litters here that I know the guys who have them and they are never out proper hunting. One or 2 ferreting trip a month then the pics go up on Facebook with one rabbit. The guys who have them are just new to the game but talk like theyv been in it for years and are veterans. The point I'm makin

  7. The ones that I have seen none have been able to retrieve, is this a general thing with them or do you think or down to the trainer?
  8. Been a good year for rabbits to, plenty going about
  9. I got that bit, where are you getting that from tho. Where did anyone say it will stay outside and be a digging dog? I said if it doesn't make a digging dog it won't be wasted lying next to a fire everyday. It will be out ferreting, flushing or doing something.
  10. loada shit. Some small dogs the size of chiuawas (spelling) will work an inch away from fox without getting a mark. And some runts like that turn out big dogs. Ive had one before, made 14inchWe will see what happens then seams you no ya stuff then.but I think I no what's coming when its 18mths old and kept in the house in front of the fire.see it loads of times with borders from good stuff to.If it doesn't make the grade for digging then there will be another use for it. The good thing about borders is there not one trick ponies! But it won't be no fireside house pet I can assure you!doesnt ma

  12. My mate had patts that were near enough half the size of my borders, cracking wee size and great workers below. Size defanatly didn't matter to them, if anything it aided them.
  13. She's defanatly healthy and strong mate.
  14. I know it is, il see how she turns out. She would be handy for getting into the difficult hard to reach bits but her size might be a problem when out flushin for rabbits and going to ground in rabbit holes.
  15. Thanks guys, had to keep a close eye on her the first couple of days as I was worried about her weight and size so was bottle feeding here along with the milk she was getting from the dam. Now although she is more than half the size and weight of the others she is every bit as strong.
  16. Here's my new addition, I'm keeping the small bitch. bred from my own dogs for my own use. I use the mother for digging flushing ratting and beating. The sire I use for the same apart from digging and is also a great deer tracker and ferreting companion and will retrieve shot game from water ( sometimes) I have the sires half sister aswell who I wanted to breed from as she excelled at everything. but felt she was to old so didn't take the chance. The pup will be out working at all fieldsports that I do with the others.
  17. Haha, whys that mate, have you had a bad experience with them. I'm just looking for a running dig to add to my team if terriers for out mooching and I think this would be the best type for me.
  18. I can't get acces on to that for some reason. Can you pm me a number bud?
  19. What site was that mate? The wbf it the bedlington and lurcher one?
  20. It's a forum for discussing terriers, what's your point??
