  4. My breeding on the mothers side, glad she's coming on well obi2 Thanks vixen
  5. To be honest I don't really know the line or really any working line of borders. It was so hard to try find a working strain so i seen her advertised, paid my money and put the time and effort in and it's starting to pay off.
  6. Diea anyone here work there borders from this line. My oldest is from this stuff and is a cracking worker. Great nose, obedient, game and retrieves from water when shooting and goes to ground and is a bayer. I have a young dog near enough the exact breeding that is a bit slower in coming on and has only just started getting his nose down at 18 mnth where the bitch entered to ground around 10 -11 mnth herself. Curios to how other digs from this line are doing. Atb

  11. Thanks guys, took a wee while but I hope she's got the idea now. Let my young dog border watch what was going on but didn't show much intrest until he had a rag at the end. he's been real slow as he's just started going into cover and using his nose.
  12. 1st dig today with my young bitch, well happy with her. I say she's young she's 2. Was just under over 2 ft but plenty big rocks in the way. We broke through and quickly dispatched. Hope this is the start of things to come.
  13. I know that but they do take a bit of killing I'm my experience. Or it could just be iv just never had a decent fox dog.
  14. I personally dont think they would have the power either.
  15. Heard about saluki types making decent fox killers preban. Did anyone run this cross successful on foxes? A mate had a saluki cross that he said was deadly on foxes in her day. I would have thought they wouldv been to lightly built for this job.
  16. 13 mnth and your worrying about putting muscle on give the dog time still young let it come natural I didn't say I was worried, I said I'm looking to add muscle and strength and want to know what different techniques you all use. to me 13 mnth is a perfect age.
  17. Can someone stick the pic up again please, I can't find it. I thought about this cross aswell. Iv got a border thtmats quite a strong build about it and wondered what the offspring would be like put to a good size whippet or small greyhound. I think they would be handy addition to a pack.
  18. Thanks for the replies people.
  19. 13 mnth old mate. Got her oft pal who has to many work commitments now so iv took her on. Hasn't dine anything with him so I'm getting her fittend but just looking at what guys do to power them up a bit as she a bit on the light side. Had her out lamping and stuff but a mile off the mark just now.
