  7. Il try get a couple, they don't sit at piece tho ha. The sire that's oxcroft has the same pelt northern lad. I can strip my bitch out by hand in a couple of hours but I don't even attempt to do his.

  9. The mother to my old lurcher was a 3/4 Hancock and was a handy animal. Best one iv seen. Seen a couple others that jacked on hares early. What can you expect, but to me it was mostly down to the owners not getting them fit
  10. I know what crosses I think would do but like you said the parents will be the deciders
  11. Haven't had much to do with them mate, from what iv heard some can be handy animals with the right bull blood.
  12. For a while I was thinking about a beddy cross, heard alot of good things about them. I think I might try get something along the lines of what I used to keep which were collie saluki greyhound mixes. I think a beddy or a Wheaton added into that mix would do what I need.
  13. Had a few pms and thanks to the guys who sent them. Some have got me thinking but still waiting on a cross to stand out to me.
  14. you seem to be looking for a world beater, there arent any You obviously haven't had a world beater then. I have (in mine and a few others eyes). Unfortunately it has now set the bar high and I Know what I'm looking for.
  15. The beat dog I ever owned was the dam a 3/4 greyhound collie to a saluki greyhound lurcher with a bit of collie in him. I was swithering and trying a beddy cross the last while but there but I don't know if they would reach the standard of what I want. I know there is a few that open up when chasing hard chases.
  16. That's exactly what I'm going to do, I would like one that will be ready to start next season but time is running out. I might have to wait till the following year.
