  1. i decided to take the old dog out for a hours walk yesterday evening along with my pup and buster. hes 12 in september and suffers alot after a long walk for a day or 2 which i think is down to him getting run over when he was a young dog. and the age thing. with it being warm all the dogs soon had there tounges hanging out and thats how it stopped for all the walk lol. these simple little strolls are a good education for the pup. he looks but allready knows he cant touch the only place we could find for a cool off i am sure i got a couple of marks from the pup.
  2. thats a poor do mate. perhaps there will be a big influx for when the harvest starts.
  3. i dont know about anybody else but i havent seen a decent number of pigeons about for some time, its like they have vanished of the face of the earth. ive even spoken to a few of the local game dealers and they have said numbers are well down to last year, from that i take it numbers are low in a bloody large are from me.
  4. Sounds like a safe bet, just check for any complications and confirm pregnancy. Most cases of them saying how many pups seems to end up wrong. true. my vet said they will only confirm pregnancy or in some cases no pregnancy.
  5. RIP ali. he was one of the greatest boxers in a era of good/great boxers and quite possibly the the greatest of all times.
  6. looking good mate whats he like on the bouncy cassel cheers. i dont know yet the kids aint let him on yet mate.
  7. thats probably because you are use to a bright lamp. you would soon adjust to a duller lamp after a few nights out with it. i used a 30 watt bulb in a lance or striker lamp and have just switched to a 150 sport. can see more than i can have with either set up lol. its not only to do with what you can see in the field you are in it helps keep light to a minimum in the next field which i think helps a little in areas where there is lamp shy game.
  8. heres a couple of quick pics from out in the garden this afternoon.
  9. looks to be exactly the same shape has mine. i havent attempted to do anything with my pup with a lead yet. hes in the back of the car on the drive and out when i get to my destination so ive had no need to use a lead yet. i will get it sorted just now.
  10. i take it you have found a vet you are happy with now then mate?
  11. im thinking dog mate.there was one eating mince chicken today it was not 24 hours old lol i thort thats the one but it was a bitch greedy cow lol lol. i am sure you will pick a good un. when i went to look at my pup there was one that stood out instantly but unfortunately it was a bitch and i am a dog man.
  12. i have never voted in me life, but there is no doubt what so ever i will be voting on weather or not we stay in the EU. i just hope we have the balls to vote out. it looks to me as it will start the ball rolling for others to do the same thing. lanesra could be right with his above post.
  13. got a 4-5 year old jill her of my nephews he had the jab everytime she has been in season and i thought she was very slow coming out of season. my vet tells me it dont always work on all ferrets. the other jill died last summer and i am not sure if it was anything to do with the jabs or not as she was the same age and they have always lived together. neither ferret come back into season until the following summer. this summer we have put a hob over her and she went out in 5 days and that was with a 24hour visit from the hob. she started loosing her hair under her stomach and the top of her
  14. look a nice litter there. you decided on what your keeping as in dog or bitch? i like the pup that looks to be on the tit nearest the front leg with the bit of white on its neck.
  15. i think you have answered your own question there mate. if its exactly the same ingredients then its got to be the same food with a different bag on it i would say.
  16. that was seen in a wood local to me. i know the bloke that saw it, i do some beating with him in the winter months. it was on countryfile aswell.
  17. it would be nice to see a pic of lana and the dog that went over her to produce the sire of my pup.
  18. it was a great little walk out gaz. it was nice to finally see that young lurcher bitch for the first time, hopefully i will be seeing her working this winter. hats off to your daughter aswell she walked all that way and didnt even complain. thats a nice pic of my dog lay in the water
  19. is the price of a pup not governed by stud fee?
  20. i would be keeping your best hob in full working order just incase mate. alot can happen between now and the end of next season you might be wanting some more ferrets at some point. that dig we had at the end of last season for chuckles is a prime example of how quick things can not go exactly to plan when out in the field. we was lucky to see him again.
  21. i believe the sire was bred out of a bitch called lana. i am looking forward to seeing how the pup devolopes in all areas of his work load. the sire to the pups was a good old age 12 years old.
  22. looking at the size of her you will have plenty of little mouths to feed.
  23. cheers roybo. ive just got from a walk local and bumped into a couple with there kid and they wouldnt believe the pup was a lurcher, as you say its got it plus points.
