  2. it didnt enter my head about them filling with dirt on wet days. after reading this i may just order myself a couple to try they only cost pennys and if it makes life a little easier in the field then i am more than happy.

  4. i was just wondering how many lads have a small bell attached to your locator collars. are they any good and do they effect the rabbits bolting? i am thinking that the fact the rabbit could hear the bell under ground would it cause him to sit tighter?
  5. is that price including postage mate?
  6. nice to see the pop is still flat out fuji, your other dogs are looking good aswell.
  7. wheres the pom fuji? ive had the kids today whilst the misses has been at work. she was back at 3.30 so ive just got back in from a nice sunny 5 mile stroll with the dogs and boy was it stress free and peaceful.
  8. personally i think alot of people underestimate the jab.
  9. Some of us name our kids Cassius simply because we like the name,,,also Cassius is a Roman name,,he was one of the people that killed Julias Caesar ... Also Cassius marcelas clay,,,,(Ali ) was named after his father,,,who is named after the white politician,,,from 19 century ,,who fought for abolishing slavery.... haye was on big start little star the other week and he said he named his boy cassius as cassius haye sounded damn close to one of his favourite boxers cassius clay. and that was basically it.
  10. any perticular type or breed of bone? i have a friend who is a butcher so i can get it regular if needs be . i would see if you could fnd a supplier of raw mince chicken in your area mate, its plenty cheap enough and is a great to feed with dry food and should do the trick nicely mate. it will certainly harden your dogs shit up. if not lamb or beef bones will be good enough mate. pork is supposed to be bad for dogs.
  11. looks a nice little pup atb with him.
  12. so far so good with him in reguards to boldness with other dogs mate. hes nice a confident and that gives me plenty to work with.
  13. theres nothing between our pups weight wise. it would be nice to see if theres much difference build wise
  14. i reckon your right about him and buck height wise mate. he will be alot lighter framed i would have thought.
  15. cheers mate. he is a lump, 10 weeks old tomorrow. got to get some socializing in with him now around other dogs I've got a bit of time off work coming up so I will get down for a daytime wander mate let him have a play with my 3 and get some pics. yes mate that would be tidy the more dogs i can get him round that i know the better. he likes to push on abit at time when with a pack.
  16. cheers mate. he is a lump, 10 weeks old tomorrow. got to get some socializing in with him now around other dogs
  17. the freezer is stacked to bursting point with meat and carcasses mate ready for next week when I start weaning them ...... i hope its a big freezer mate. they all look nice healthy pups atb with them
  18. had a steady walk out for a couple of hours today with the dogs. it was nice for my pup to get to know some of his future hunting buddies. they all got on well which is a good start to many a trip out either just walking or out hunting. the pup has took a shine to buck he hasnt left bryn out
  19. they will eat some sort of grub before they leave for there new homes.
  20. i wonder how many more take away places are like that. if you hadnt seen the rats i thought the place looked clean enough. would have you fooled if you looked through to the kitchen from the front of shop whilst waiting for your order.
  21. that bitch is looking full now. looks a nice spot.
  22. when i had my pups first inoculation at the vets when he was 6 weeks old they give me 1 milbemax tablet for a toy dog. he weighed 3.35 kilo alot cheaper than £16.85 from 8 weeks onwards i use half a drontal usally
  23. it may well have been that. you might find that you can never make that last few yards back with the dog now. but at the end of the day it could be a damn sight worse than 15 yds. just enjoy the dog for what he is they all have there faults.
  24. i see alot of people do dummy training, imo its a load of bollocks as there is no substitute for the real thing. i always give my pups a rabbit skin with the head still attached to play with for a couple of minutes once or twice a week. i do no retrieve training with it just let them mouth it for a short time just to get use to the fur and to know they are allowed them in there mouths. i work on the retrieve training whilst out in the field whilst lamping. ive had dogs retrieve eggs that i roll down the garden without breaking them and been told thats the sign of a soft mouthed dog, on
  25. its been said above just the one jab will do the job. i keep my dogs upto date with there boosters just incase i want a holiday with the misses and kids and need to put my dogs in kennels during that time. treatment for kennel cough is another load of bollocks aswell.
