    I would like to enrol on a course for the Dsc1. in order to acquire a deer calibre rifle,and would like to know where the nearest course might be to me.....I live in Bath.

    Has anyone got any experience of a 25.06cal for deer/fox.I was told that it has an exceptionally flat trajectory and would be ideal.Could someone either confirm this or blow it out of the water please.

    Nice one Frank,I've just been out and got another couple of hundred acres,and the farmer says he wants the deer shot(roe and muntjac)so I might be applying for a variation soon.He also has another farm fairly close by,so I am hoping that I will get permission on there as well once I prove myself to him.Do you have to complete the dsc1 over there or have they spared you that?

    Sounds a bit suss to me.........sounds like he is asking the question that he thinks people want to hear.However,I would think that most earthmen would rather have a sensible dog,that they could work with for some time,rather than be burying one every couple of years.(lots of antis out there)

    I've just picked up my JRT pup at 6wks,and I picked up my last one at the same age.I think they can learn a lot in those early days,or be held back by a breeder that is not quite on your wave length(I was careful what I said there-but you know what I mean).
