    I know it's in S.Africa....it was more of a descriptive thing(if you've ever seen any news footage of Soweto).He is a really nice guy of 70yrs,and would do anything for anyone,and I've had the land for 5-6yrs now.It isn't a lot of land,probably about 7-8acres,but there is always a few rabbits. I do think I might try the sheets of tin though..........cheers..

    Here is a smallholding that I have permission on,the farmer is a West Indian and as you can see wants to make his own version of 'Soweto'.He isn't the tidiest of people,and the mess has attracted one or two long tails.There is also a lot of rabbits there,which is what I have concentrated on,but,when my 15wk old JRT is up to it(quite a few months yet)I think I will be having fun. I am also(hopefully)about to get permission on a piece of land next to another lot of permission that I have.It is a stables set up with a few rabbits in the hedges for ferreting,and they also keep layi

    2 hours!!? give 'em a chance to settle down,most dogs will have some animosity towards a new pup brought in the home...........get them out together across the fields(on neutral territory)and just keep an eye on the terrier(they do have to have a place in the pack....ie. you then terrier then pup).Good luck! Oh,and try not to pay too much attention to the pup in front of the terrier,because it will obviously get jealous.

    Had the same with my old JRT 'Jess' she was a right scrapper if another dog bothered her(ok when she was working though).A right fecking twat on the common with two really big shar-peis(chinese fighting dogs),I had my terrier above my head,and both of the dogs are jumping up to my chest and he is saying...."It's ok they won't hurt her",so I caught one under the chin and put it on it's back,and when I said I'd put him on his back he put them on the lead,and started to get all lairy, all the time getting further away.I just wish people would keep their dogs under control,and realise that other d

    interesting stuff, if you shoot on the ground with a 243 or 270 ,then surely the ground will have bin passed already,all the officer said to me was to ring up and they could tell me there and then if the ground is passed, it used to state on my certificate ,that i could use it on ground where i had permission to use that caliber of firearm , i just assumed that the permission was off the landowner ,not the police, dunno if this is the case Just checked mine and it actually says.....'named farm' and on any other land which the holder has permission to shoot with that class of firearm fro

    I haven't been in a pub for 12yrs,but I have already drank my share in the past.I was drinking 15 pints of port and guiness every night with a handful of glenmorangies to top it off.I am not proud of this fact,and my late father said that I probably drank a rank of houses.
