  1. Hi,is that the set up that you have in your cola fridge?very smart.I have just been given permission on a farm near me where there is a decent head of roe and muntjac,so I would like to get myself a deer calibre rifle with a view to taking a few deer per season.I understand that I would have to take a DSC1 weekend course in order to have deer put on my FAC.I really don't have any experience, although I do know a stalker and he is willing to take me out when he is next out.Can you tell me how involved is the course and should every person that goes on the course pass,if not,do you have to pay fo

  8. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just a few photo's of 'SCRAP' at 10wks old......coming on fine,if not a bit of a schitzo............. What do you think so far?She loves the BARF......I have been mincing up whole chickens(cheapo's)and adding in a small amount of minced veg,and just today have given her some pieces of beef.I also give her lamb breast bones a couple of times a week. She currently has a weird ear thing going on.....one moment they are fine, and then the next, one or the other will be shooting off at some w
  9. Do you feed any minced/liquidized veg at all, probably should 3 times a week. Also beef/lamb bones 3-4 times a week.I think that you should be able to see for yourself how much to feed your dogs as the time goes by.As they get older then they will need more beef(and not minced). As pups, chicken is good for them minced(bones and all)you can buy a 5.5lb chicken(economy)in Sainsbury's for just over £3.00 so it still is very cheap mixed with veg. I am no expert,as I have only just started feeding raw to my JRT pup, but, she loves it and is thriving on it. Here she is at 10wks.....................
  10. I personally think that Paul Mcartney wasn't as good as John Lennon, and lets face it he only had five decent hits..................................and they were all in the chest!!!! :guitar2:

I will be having my JRT pup(10wks old) done. She may not get stolen, but,if she was lost and someone found her, there's a good chance of getting her back. Not sure you would get her back if she was stolen though, unless they got fed up and dumped her.On balance,I think it is worth it.
  14. I've seen loads of mink on the river avon during the day, after moorhen chicks etc. I remember night fishing as well and I was open ended feeder fishing, and when I reached back behind me to fill the feeder with groundbait i grabbed hold of the biggest mink you can imagine.............Feckin' shit myself I can tell you.(only just stopped shaking and that was 7-8yrs ago).
  15. I get that problem on my house every year, not so much birds of prey but birds just generaly flying, and not a conservatory, my bloody windows. Nothing to pick up a dozen song birds a year, thrushes, blackbirds, sparrows and finches. and its not as if theres another window adjacent to them to look like a fly through. cheers bob You don't live in a bird house do you?
  16. I'm overawed..................and if I could afford it mate I would go over with you ,but,a bit out of my league I'm afraid.Good luck though, and if I win the lottery in between..............we'll see.
  17. Nice looking pup mate,I've always liked Borders, but never had one, probably because they are said to be slow starters(not my words, just what I've heard).....good luck with her,and let us know how you get on with her.
  18. Here is my set up......I have two of these.......six ferrets, sometimes upto eight. You can make one out of one 8 x4 sheet of 3/4" marine ply(they last for years)!
  19. Couple of handy looking tykes there Sambo.Hope someone near you will come forward,if they do let us know how you get on.Have you got any of your own permission yet?I know it can be hard to come by,but, you just have to keep asking, and, offering your services(labour) during the summer,as farmers always need help during the summer. If you prove yourself to be reliable you should soon start gaining some permission, and, usually when you get some, some more will come along then.Good luck.
  20. Why on earth would you want an aggressive dog? That wouldn't help it hunt, and, might make it worse!I also am not sure if your an anti or not.If you are why not come out and see it done properly?
  21. Aint got any fox in 'im has he?they bury what they catch quite often!..............only joking, but still it is a bit weird, but,I'm sure you will get the upper hand over the summer months.Does he bury stuff he is asked to retreive if it was just a dummy,or is it only real game(rabbits)?
  22. Even better than the last one Mate!
  23. Not exactly live to hand was it?
