    iv been making purse nets now for just over 12 months and over the last few weeks my daughter has been asking me to let her have a go at making them because shes only 8 years old i was a bit undesided at first but then i gave in and let her have ago we started off with garden twine but it kept snapping so i desided to give her ago with some hemp i tied the hemp to the ring and done the first 2 meshes so she could see how it was done then i let her have a go we were only doing it 10 meshes wide as it was her first go she made a couple of mistakes to start with but soon got the hang of it so i l

    try stripping a bit of wire back if the copper wire has gone a black colour then the wire is knackered and you'll have to rewire the whole thing its happened to me twice atb with it

    its good to get the youngsters out its all experiance for them i was out the other day with my nephew we only got the 2 tried a load of sets but nothing much about he was getting a bit bored to till we caught our first one. atb to you and young tom

    welcome to the forum pal sorry to hear about your dog its not a nice thing to happen one of mine got ran over a couple of years ago one of the best dogs iv owned in a while i was gutted to say the least but you just have get another and get back into it as soon as possible it will soon take your mind off it when your new dogs catching rabbits for you. atb pal

    welcome to the forum pal have you not thought about getting a pup then you can train it to what you want it for and get it house trained. if a pups not for you though im sure you'll find a dog on here atb pal

    have you finaly got the hang of it now then I think so mate, the first stuff I tried making them with was bright orange, I couldn,t see what I was doing for the feckin glare lol swapped it for plain green stuff and now have my 1st net :laugh: you'll only get better at making them now pal im sure you'll get faster at making them as well your next one might only take you a week stick with it pal iv only been making them for about 12 months now it was hard at first but after a month i had it sussed. you cant beat catching a rabbit in a net youve made. atb with it pal the first

    sounds like a good set up pal i keep mine in my garage so dont get many flies in there. that set up sounds like it has plenty of room for them to get plenty of exersize which should keep them fit. atb pal

    this is one that im going to be making when i can afford the wood ill be making it out of 9mm ply wood and slate lats and using the same sort of mesh that you can see in the pic i hope this gives you a few ideas atb pal

    well done pal i had my kits out the other week they both bolted rabbits so i was pleased with them iv got a little terrier that is just starting to mark rabbits now but it isnt 100% yet it needs to get out more. atb with your new team pal
