Compare what he has done compared to stupid overpaid footballers. He took on a job of turning round a failing bank and WOULD ONLY have got his bonus if the share price had continued to climb for 2 years. So he has kept a bank afloat - he has kept a lot of people in work and if he took his share bonus he could have sold them and put even more money back into the economy. I think he deserves credit for what he has done - if that bank goes bust then the taxpayer loses out even more because we own so much of it.

Nope - not heard of them. I am worried that people are going to breed too many WHV to the detriment to the breed? They are essentially a dilution of a GWP and a smooth Viz. so i hope it is not a fad of them being popular. I am not knocking them as I have seen some excellent ones BUT just amazed that their popularity seems to be ballooning when the raw ingredients have been available for so long. -
You questions generate more questions rather than answers: All HPR breeds will work with BOPS but each is suited to a varying degree on the game and the terrain. you didn't answer that so hard to tell if you are on grouse moors or trying to kill squirrels with HH. Which would work best for you? Who knows? obviously not a Brit. you don't say why not but my gut feel is that you need to bond with a dog and train it if you can't do that and we don't know your temperament then how can we suggest a breed? If you can't train a Brit why do you think you can train a pointer? Genuine question not crabbing. Sounds to me as if buying a ready trained dog might be your best bet - h.p.r.s are very very slow to mature so you might get yourself in the same position again

Dachsunds are a waste of time they have been too inbred and show bred - imported teckel blood from czechoslavakia/ germany etc is the way forward

Ignore Dachshund - google Teckel. They have the highest prey drive of any KC animal i have come across.

Agree with Karlsberg. There are a huge number of excellent dogs working in this country that are not matching on the fens or bragging on the internet. It would be great for them to be built into the book.

Hey I am not belittling the troops on either side - I don,t understand why we are there fighting another mans culture because it's different to our own. No - not trying to rewrite it but trying to see things from the locals point of view, America think they own israel and Kuwait and are in cohoots with Saudi - Iraq invaded Kuwait because it was skint after the Iran Iraq war. America saw its opportunity to get a slice of the pie and went in. Hang on wasn't 9/11 retribution for the 1st Gulf War? When American Patriot missiles killed thousands and thousands of civilians in Baghdad? When the US and the UK ran Bombing raids EVERY night for months,to stop Hussein from capturing the oil fields of Kuwait because America thought their trade agreements meant they should have them not the people on the ground.???

Malt. Fully explain why the hell the Americans are in Afghanistan then? If Saddam Hussein and Bin laden are dead and there is no oil there and Al-Queda is predominantly based in Pakistan? is it about drugs? No. Gas? No. Diamonds? No. Pride? Yes.. The Afghan nation are a proud bunch - the Russians failed to tame them and now the American are wasting billions failing too. I read an interesting article about the aims of Al Queda. The main remit was not to start a traditional war on the West which they know they can't really win - the idea was to create maximum impact for little outlay -

i think they should have the book thrown at them regardless of what the enemy would do - isn't that why we are at war with them ? because we like to think we have better manners?
