  2. Yawn, there you go again DAVID QUARRELL, dont you get bored with beating the same old drum. Anyone with the vagest grasp of the English language (you are excluded from that circle) would have noticed that I was not slagging off ALL deer groups, but to try and help you understand I have added the relevant paragraph from my post here " Gents, this is the very same numpty that constantly bangs on about how bad the Forestry Commission and SNH are and yet he sits on the development board of yet another "dmg", read his posts on the stalking directory making out that he is not in bed with the "auth

  7. Roger I agree with your comments in regard to getting in with a syndicate as being the best way forward with a novice stalker at least if he gets the full facts and figures he can at least make a reasonable judgement in what he is going to get for his money. But with all agreements its purchaser beware. Interesting your comments in respect to what you say Roger .

  10. What I do when setting up my scope both on elevation and windage i count the increment from zero to infinity and half the count on both scales and click them back in This gives me even adjustment on either scale. I then set them in the rings finger tight position each ring in the position on the rifle in the stop lugs then take out the rings and tighten up the base ring lightly put the scope back on secure the rings and place a black dot on a wall 25ds away and bore sight the rifle to the black dot , look through the scope and adjust the base mounts to counter in line with the bore agains

  15. Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting. Well, for example, the other day, My wife and I went into town and visited a shop. When we came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket. We went up to him and I said, 'Come on, man, how about giving a senior citizen a break?' He ignored us and continued writing the ticket. I called him an “arsehole” . He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn-out tires. So Bev called him a “shit head”. He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the fir

  23. Hi Chunk With a £1000 budget there are loads of second hand combinations available. Personally I would choose an older rifle combination in any case as the build quality isnt as good as it used to be on rifles made 30 years ago. If you know what you are looking for there are out there with little use. A friend of mine purchased 2 years ago a superb Krico stutzen with a khales variable scope on top with swing off apel mounts in 270 calbre in nearly unused condition for £680 what a bargain , it shoots sweet as a nut, there are older Tikka rifles out there like the M55s etc with litt
