I was out shooting on a driven pheasant shoot where the Wild life Manager of a large forest was complaining he was short handed in culling deer and he could not get anyone to assist with the cull so I volunteered and became an unpaid ranger with his organization for 12 years ,where I learnt most of my skills not only in culling deer but in wild life management generally.

Wildlife and Habitat Enhancement

Well done to you the more people (sportsmen) who see and act as to how to benefit all Wildlife the better. we all need to get away from this I have paid my money and i am entitled to take attitude, our syndicate operates a system if your prepared to get stuck in and involve yourself in work parties your also deserve the right to control the wildlife in a balanced way to benefit it . If more had the attitude as you have in what you do we would see better quality and more healthy animals and other wildlife as the correct type of foods and habitat will be in place. Well done to you. keep it u -
Sorry lurcher, i dont understand Perhaps they were threads will illegal images portrayed. IanB has put something in the running dog section it's perfectly legal where he live's It probably is Hedz, but perhaps with other folk pretending to live in Ireland just so they can show illegal photos Ian has had to make the decision to stop all prey other than rats/rabbits? I don't know, just an assumption? Maybe mate hopefully some new more private site's will pop up and folk's will be able to talk and post picture's of there chosen sport and if somebody would like to start 1 or 2 maybe

Constructing High Seat covering 3 Rides work in progress in our Wild Life Habitat Program. Link found on my Web Page WWW.Deerstalking-UK.COM Just a few piccies of the high seat we constructed concerning the intersection of 3 rides and roadways and a tangent ride in the forest. Access to the double high seat through the floor with the ladder constructed out of alder fixed internally for security and safe operation. 4 Corner steadies have been added at the angle of repose since the last photo, one of the other lads involved in the program has further photos of it complete and meth -
They are pregnant during the normal stalkers doe cull so makes no odds really. Well it does really as after January 31st we accept that the pregnancy is that far forward we generally leave them alone unless they are infirm or showing signs of being injured where only then we consider from a point of view to cull it, but a healthy animal normally would be left to carry it pregnancy through. During the Doe cull from after 31st January we concentrate on last years doe kids to make the numbers up. There are exceptions to this rule of course where they are considered to be doing damage to new

Doe season closes the last day of march England and Wales I accept others do shoot them . Although reducing the doe population that is not the prime criteria as otherwise you could shoot out either sex of the species in a particular area that has happenned in the past especially where Red deer are concerned and take many years to recover. correct Deer Management and control is to formulate a Deer Management program where its designated around the deers habitat , if sufice food present and cover etc what numbers will the area sustain and creating a balance thats sustainable. It all depends wh

A 75-year old man went to his doctor's office to get a sperm count. The doctor gave the man a jar and said, "Take this jar home and bring me back a sample tomorrow." The next day, the 75-year old man reappears at the doctor's office and gives him the jar, which is as clean and empty as on the previous day. The doctor asks what happened, and the man explains: "Well, doc, it's like this. First I tried with my right hand, but nothing. Then I tried with my left hand, but nothing. Then I asked my wife for help. She tried with her right hand, but nothing. Then her left, but nothing. She even t

When you set your scope up to you count the graduations on movement either way say 100 clicks from nothing on both elevation and windage then half them on each calibration then set them in the ring and bore sight it? before clamping them down? if you have adjustable mounts it makes sighting in a doddle even with 1st generation scopes like I have. Whats your scope? Stu

Hang about Nellie Cleg will be in on this tale next This has a better story line than Hansel and Gretal whatever their name was. More like the dogs attacked his dog or maybe he was the farmer or the guy who was a game keeper on the ground and shot the dog in self defence, then this chap goes and wrecks the chaps vehicle in retribution. Theres always two sides to a story i find it hard to believe a legitimate shooter would brandish and threaten anyone as he above anyone else knows better than to use a firearm to threaten someone and knows full well if he did what the repercusions were

You havent got them on a Saer Rifle by any chance have you Ian? The rings on a Saur are different sizes and need to be higher on the rear ring and this applies to some other rifles as well in relation to elevation but in your post you refer to windage on the right something i havent come across unless you havent located the dove tail and stud lock correctly.

It all depends what your quarry is. in respect to deer its been proved that its shades and differences that they see and in particular they struggle to see grey drab colours , so anything disruptive with multiple shades will be ok. Their eyesight consists of pillars or rods which pick of different light. However they are very perseptive to ultra brightners found in most washing powder where when washed in these powders your clothes glow and stand out like a beacon so its imperative that you use non brighness enhancers such as natural soap flakes like lux etc. Not sure if other animal

Disgusting how they treated Harris if he hadnt stuck to what he believed in many more of our lads would have been killed its his efforts that shortened the war by his blanket bombing , i know thousand upon thousands were killed but hell fire this country was fighting for its very existance, dont forget they had us beat and drove us into the sea at Dunkirk there was only a narrow strip of water some 18miles across that acted as a natural barrier, My owd chap said if Hitler had kept going and invaded then we only had pitch forks to defend ourselves at that time. Bomber Harris should have a N
