Think I'm losing the plot. Had to climb through an upstairs window the other night cos I locked myself out. ?

Want a chuckle? We were out Saturday night and my buddy had to zero his Browning T bolt. He set up a cardboard banana box with four shoot n see targets. After we got him thereabouts I left him to fine tune and decided to check my own zero. Above the targets was a black dot about the size of a ten p coin. I fired three rounds and couldn’t work out where they were going. When we went down for a close look it was a fecking hole. ?

That is so rich coming from you ? Go spout your drivel somewhere else.

Sarge 1974 is a troll and why does he not show up in the list of members at the bottom of the page?

The referendum was called because the remoaners thought they would win hands down. Without more choices on the ballot paper we were bound to end up where we are now. Everyone had their own reasons but which ones were for the good of the country and my children's children and which ones were for their own agendas? A poll of criteria questions would have resulted in the right questions being on the ballot paper. Most of us voted to get our country back and be a great country again. Let's look at the rest: Those with business agenda. Those with property in Europe

Been there, done that.?

Try this setup. Get a cheap solar light and set it up where the rats are. Figure out a tough rat bait that will last a while and fix it under the light. You can add the good stuff like peanut butter etc whenever you go. They'll get used to the light and you won't even need a torch.

What length Nathan. I have a few knocking about. Toxo is short for toxophilite. And of course you already know it's illegal to hunt live quarry with a bow. ?

An important piece of info that's often missed when talking about tubed NV! Expensive scopes are often used to get that last ounce of twilight. With my Archer I can use it without any IR way past the time when you can't see anything with a "normal" scope. Of course you won't see eye shine until the IR is switched on. The point I'm making is you don't necessarily lose out by using a cheaper scope but then again I use mine mainly at night.

I've got an Addonight (Pard 007) but I was so pleased to get my Archer back after an overhaul. The biggest consideration is the scope. I use the Archer on a HW100 and a 1417 Annie and a CZ527 17 Hornet and they all wear Hawke scopes to good effect. I use T20 or T67 IR. I didn't like the Firefly laser but I believe the Dragonfly laser is better. It's generally accepted that high end scopes don't work so well with tubed. It's to do with the lens coatings. I tried an S&B 8x56 and it wasn't great.

This is what I use Mark. Or one like it. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2800W-Electric-Meat-Grinder-Mincer-Aluminum-Sausage-Maker-Filler-Kitchen-UK-Plug/173398250510?hash=item285f57540e:g:8Y0AAOSw3UJbQFcB:rk:2:pf:0 Fur off the rabbit half a dozen chops with the cleaver rinse off and in the mincer bones an all for the calcium. Then I weigh em into freezer bags. After freezing I boil it up with maybe some rice etc. After freezing and boiling there's not much risk of the dogs picking up anything nasty. A

Are you not using the quad sticks Jimmy? I can't do without them. I've got half way to the perm and turned back cos I'd forgotten em. When you're not shooting the gun just sits there whilst you have a cuppa and a sarnie or reloading the mags and gives your arms a rest. You do have to have the extra back leg to use em like this though.

I've lost count of how many times my little Seek thermal has shown me I was looking 25yds in the wrong place.

17 hornet is a great round. Can reload as cheap as chips. and 1500fps faster than hmr. It's a bit of an animal. I shot a rabbit at around 70yds and was concerned when it jumped up in the air about three times. My buddy went to collect it and came back saying "I don't believe this". He held it up and the head was completely missing apart from one ear and two stringy bits with eyeballs still attached.

What's the ret si?

Winchester quotes the same speed for the 42g as they did for the 40g which presumably means more powder and slightly louder.
-
The RWS are slightly slower than the Winnies which is presumably why they're quieter. I find the accuracy to be consistent. I've read a few times lately about Winnies going bang now and then.
-
I find them excellent in my Annie 1417 Better than Winnies. Not desperate yet but no-one local has any. Got Wins and ccis if I need em.

Don't be fooled. The poser changed out of his pajamas just for the pic. ? Nice one Nathan. Wish I could shoot from my garden.

Thanks guys so much. Not a meadow any more. Is public land that's never going to be dug up. Is a wonderful place now with all kinds of plants/grasses short and tall with rides and footpaths meandering through it with a smattering of short trees so it's sunny all over. It's a place she knew well.

I buried my soul mate on Tuesday. She was an 11yr old Westie called Misty who understood every word I spoke. Whenever I took off my shoes she would fetch my slippers without a word being said. The vet got complacent with an after operation infection and now she’s gone and I still cry a lot. I found a nice spot in a sunny meadow which for my sins turned out to be almost all flint and clay and my clockwork had well and truly run out before I got the job done. Now I’m thinking about planting a small white Rose that doesn’t take much maintenance and isn’t going to get too big. S

My favourite adjustable beam torch fills this role very well as it did this time.

I like to dissuade crows from around my garden. Sometimes they attack in family formation and whatever is nesting/fledging doesn’t stand a chance. Anyway, I dissuaded three on Sunday and yesterday (Monday) I was watching tv when I noticed something big and black flapping about in the front room. Don’t know if the dogs had chased it in. They might have taken a couple of pecks cos all four were keeping well away. I grabbed it and noticed a chest wound but it was still well lively. Contemplated letting it go for about two seconds. Then the fecker stabbed and bit me on the back of a finger a

Many years ago my fishing buddy and I would come out of the pub on a summers night and have a chat before going separate ways home. Many a time one of us would comment on what a nice night it was for fishing. Twenty minutes later we would meet up with the gear and head for part of the Surrey Docks in London, this was before they filled it in and it was full of old cars and such. We both had work in the morning so only had two or three hours. We used big feeders filled with maggots and drew back about a yard after settling. Our best night was forty four. If we only had a few I'd let him take em
