    Was watching this program the wife recorded for me last week caught red handed on beeb one it had a piece on about deer poaching by the looks of it was a old vid but this copper had made this device that he put on a track to detect motors going over it then it rang the plod and thats how they was caught any way was talking to one of my more respectable mates a keeper about it and I dont know if he was pulling my leg but he said theres a new range thats to be used These things can be anything from a pheasant up a tree to a brown hare in a seat or anything and what they do is look like that a

    Yes there easy caught and if you miss one theres always another to go at the hills are a killer but in the valley bottoms is some better running great for bringing on pups like you say but I like to see a dog open up and be challenged instead of a dog just picking bunys up in a few yards with the odd bit of excitement The place can make average dogs look good that is for sure

    Some good lads from colburn with dogs used to live there and richmond got loads of permo up near amdog so stay off there lol but around the zetland estate is good and up on the milatary like feldom best thing is to knock on doors and ask for permo there pritty good for giving it out better than poaching see the mod land office it used to be near tesco and was major felps to ask for a permit to clear the bunnys enjoy your sport !

    Had some good counts just before the season and some good days since the start, but some moors have had a problem with chicks dying young so cut there shooting days

    Its a very sad fact that theres very few you can trust in the dog game for this kind of thing I took a lad to a spot not long ago on some permission Ive got he never heard of the town before but its filtered back to me his been going alot of snakes mate best thing dont take anybody and enjoy it for yourself!

    Had a interview at askern bryham with brian last week I can see the dilemma with the cost of the course but they will do what they can to help seek advice from student support and your local careers office I was advised that the level 3 diploma would suit 2 years course or 90% credit on one year 4 days in college one day on placement which you have to find this could be a shoot day so it could be paid beating which may help also buses are run from distance for those that need it in all a very pleasant do just felt a bit young walking on to campus with all those baby faced young uns Th

    What got me was the tours ive watched before they throw out loads of stuff hats t shirts sweets feck me they sure did get in the yorkshire spirit only here 5 mins and turned into right tight cutns lol But had a great day up in the dales the crowds and the buzz was electric my girl was over the moon and when sky interviewed her was piss funny the guy asked were you from ect ect then whent on to ask my seven year old who have you come to see to which she replied cyclists

    Hi R T I was talking to my keeper friend at the weekend and we was talking about this subject I told him I was thinking about doing the course on game keeping he said it would show commitment and that I was seriouse about the job of keepering But did say if he didnt know me he would be wondering why at such a late date in my life and that I would have to really work hard to put a case up against young people just out of school whos done nothing els but keepering He says that when he puts a ad for a underkeeper he gets at least 50 applications that go something like I bought a ferret last we

    Hi R T I think I read you was a keeper in one of your earlier posts what qualifications do you have? I work along side many shoots (high moor) but never really gave being a keeper a second thought until this year im 37 and thought id be too long in the tooth to go to college but when I rang them at askern bryan they said they would be happy to take me on as a student so I may well be going back to school september good luck with searching atb 2.8

    I made a lamp using that type of bulb about 15 years ago very nice spot but could do with a bit more range but the lamp I was using was the 6 volt I think 35 watt but they did a 12 volt 50 watt in the same style of bulb which bulb is yours? I still use my home made cibie I prefer this to the light force 140 I like the intense spot it gives in a 55 watt guise if I upgraded to a lithium battery id put a 100 watt in Butt the old lady got me one of those led ones made by deben but ive yet to try it I do like the size of it though hope it meets my expectations I can see limitations but just f

    Im having a clear out of some of my hunting related things and was sorting through a few books im going to be selling shortly when I saw this book advertised and thought that might be worth a read it is the above title and was advertised in the back of spaniels their breaking for sport and field trials by H.W.CARLTON its a old book(1930 edition) as you can tell by the title but has anyone read or own the one advertised ?
