  1. Some interesting posts I got myself a boat a second hand fun yak secu 12 like thishttp://www.samboats.com/smartcms/downloads/funyak_pictures/sea-river/secu-12/images/Red%20FY%20390%20%202.jpghttp://www.fun-yak-varna.com/img/secu12_2.jpg I liked the idea of it being like a rib but without the inflatable sides and the material it was made from being very robust There french made and I was reading in a new magazine in asda how the rib and fishing from them was very popular in france saying they was a very safe boat for unpredictable sea and fast tides (not my words dont have a clue!) it did make
  2. Yes mate thats definatly true the lurchers and the hunting seen has got me through some real difficult times and without them id of probably sunk But just recently even the dog seen wasnt doing it I could put this down to two of my best mates in the dog world betraying me in this world of pack mentality show weakness and your breakfast b..stards took advantage when I was at my weakest. But my true mates have shone through and I hope the dark cloud is now lifting and I return twice as strong cheers giro.

  4. Hey glad you enjoyed the read, yes max its a funny thing with pups reading them is hard especially when you have run dogs before from pups a late starter could quite easily be seen as a non starter comparing them is all too easy and what one pup can do at one age can make another look useless I think every pup should be seen through fresh eyes and I was all about to give up on her but all along just looking for something a sign to say there is hope And just seeing a slight change can make all the diffarance she really has a laid back attitude maybe I should take a leaf out of her book.
  5. Well to say ive not been enjoying my sport as much as I should have is a understament, my young dog hasn't been impressing me that much and ive been at a low eb to say the least due to some home issues and the keepering course falling through also getting a bit bored with hunting the same land same quarry so been doing a little bit of hunting with the hounds odd bit of digging just to get me out the house and the young useless out for a shite. But yesterday gave me a real boost I have been picking up a little in mood since my birthday on the 9th when the wife bought me a mp3 player she'd
  6. Nice read phil but the dog looks too lean for my liking hows it bred?
  7. Could try theses......... http://australiancattledogsociety.co.uk/
  8. There was a guy on here a while ago who said he had imported a ACD pup out of working lines to breed from at a later date.. And when I saw the greyhound at stud thread by max hardcore he sprang to mind. The acd x is a tough old bus and if they suit the land you hunt there second to none, mine worked in the harshest of lands for 9 years and only suffered one broken toe in half x percentage
  9. I have property here in blighty makes much more than I do every year just sat doing nothing, but ive always fancied buying in areas that are much cheaper like places in wales get some right bargains for the money but often wondered about these abroad places always fancied france but its hard knowing the property/land laws for when the time comes to sell on There was a fishing dock processing plant on the outer hebrides bet that was cheap for its size and use put it in another location bet it would be worth double http://www.findafishingboat.com/marine-services
  10. S300 for sale in .22 silencer, swivels, gun bag now offered with weaver scoped boxed was nigh on £300 when bought great gun in good condition see older ad further on this section for pics PM for details
  11. Bait with Sugar puffs lol they love the sweet taste and smell and carnt just pick it up and scarper so spend a while in your chosen spot picking them up other cereals may be used
  12. But it would be a book that hasn't been written the lads who club together to get a motor dont run rabbits will drive past loads in a night they dont even register they drive to cover the ground you couldnt walk the distance they do in a night but there only out for certain things and its like this for them poaching is poaching get hung for the sheep as the lamb and all that im not saying I agree with them or not but theres alot more too it than you think its a more modern day poaching approach and who makes up the rules when it comes to breaking the law some of them lads are real characters
  13. The 300 is too long in the stock thats the problem I have two daughters ones 7 the others 13 so was looking for something they could share
  14. Yes great guns and this ones still for sale
  15. Sounds like you had a great day just been up there in that scenery is enough, The grouse keeping is very much a science these days you need to leave so many birds for the breeding but not too many so they dont get stressed hence the counts I know a couple of keepers from that way ian sn... and richard iv.... both on the grouse and both good lads atb 2.8
  16. Like you say most of its all been written about, and forums like this is like a book that keeps getting updated and added to constantly and any poacher worth his salt wouldnt be saying feck all to anyone, But A book on modern day poaching lads using motors to drive the land a book that would try get why they do it across to those who dont, A book that would get across the adrenalin rush of having a subaru airborne playing the cat and mouse game with the cossers the scrapes and the running battles with the keepers getting rammed your names been put in the little black book the early morning kn
  17. Is that it now for that shoot and was it walked up or did you take it in turns behind the buts It can get a bit hairy sometimes if guns are in the line and its not straight lol
  18. Yes your bang on jamie most of the land around the north dales is estate land tennent farmers have the right to give out permission hence why some can take dogs some carnt depending who you have permission with, it also is why so many hunt the same land it goes without saying though its the keepers who have the most power on that front as there closest to the owners and the land agent who have the sporting rights on said land. There would be no quicker way how to loose the land you hunt than if you was caught with a game bird especially grouse I know first hand. A lad I know lost his perm
  19. Thanks for the replys I am looking for a springer really
  20. My daughter asked me the other month to teach her how to shoot and then again this week so what would you say is the best jnr air rifle, My mate has a webly cadet? maybe cub but this has still a long stock on it and is quite wide too so no good. My local gun shop has the new remington break barrel in that also comes in jnr and runs at 12 ftlb he says this is a very good gun for the money but is there any I should look at first? S300 in the for sale section
