  2. Just a thought would either side of the pond cut it in the middle east, theres some good courses on you tube and i must say the dogs coursed
  3. nice to see the topic has woken up, if the dog is good enough its worth say £500 its only 100 each between your friends at 5 pups, i only breed for me not for profit, and lets be fair a good / top saluki has the potential to earn lots more, As for comment at the rear lets be fair you dont need a saluki blood dog to run in ireland my bull x at 26 inc would open your eyes, I was watching some vids on you tube on coursing in the middle east your irish dogs and many others would not cut the mustered there chasing gazel ect bet those eastern dogs are a whole different storry
  4. moonlighter , i dont think thats a informative respons as i have been told all the for mentioned lines are good but take the luckas dog theres lots of treads on here were people says its good then they argue its not, then the merlin eve stuff people say it was good but they tell me that stuff was so long ago it will be far away from the real dogs, then theres the khan stuff ive been told that dog or its farther was given away as no good , i dont have a opinion because i dont know, i would like some well informed knowlage on the subject.
  5. HI to all, ive been asking about re saluki blooded dogs and read a few posts, to be honest dont know a jot regards dogs and lines but what i have noticed is there's alot of conflict between owners ive heard lucas mentioned, khan jihad, merlin eve, ect ect talk to one man dogs ok, talk to another its a pot licker Ive watch a few matches on video and would of thought that its plain to see witch is best but i know theres a ban on now and we all dont do it now so my question is if i was looking for a stud dog to put into my lurcher what lines would you look out for now what im after is so
  6. mine will be lab greyhound the lab being the sire, so they will be half cross, the dog is two years and is very well mannered and is proving itself in the field ill give it a while longer to make sure then will be on the look out for a greyhound bitch
  7. I will be breading some lab xs in the near futer my mate has a very nice stamp of a lab in build well bred and earning its title as a respectable worker, i looked into the lab as a breed and was suprised to find that 70 % of the worlds genral perpose dogs was the labrador so thats genral assist dogs, blind, deaf, search dogs, drugs and cash also BOMBS in disposal uses so the way i look at it is if you need to trust a dog with your life count on a lab, oh and there gun dogs too, The people who i have spoke too about lab lurchers all say was fair, some say the best they have seen but for me the
  8. You must need to go to spec savers.theres no time for a dog starting to box them.straight in bang bang Dead.i run an english dog in ardee last year it jacked as yer man says lurcher x lurcher touch of saluki x terrier ive heard this said before about the terrier what strains are about of this make up,mr king bred irish terriers now coursing dogs have the two mixed?
  9. Many a good dog has had a better agent, also ive heard of dogs improving in different hands one of my best was someone elses cast off, i think its i mportant tho for people to advertise good dogs as long as there not false legends so that good blood can be shared breeding plans can be followed and off spring can be bred to the right dogs, i think dogs like this only get shared between a close few which is a shame
  10. Anyone on here run a airdale whippet
  11. just watched the park coursing how thats sport ill never know, then i watch one were there coursing a hare in someones back garden and the fredie stair was trancing the dogs very poor
  12. what would you say there working style is, do they work for you or for them selfs my mates is very obedient and willing to please, the rambo dog mentioned what was that famed for another dog that springs to mind is g oscas spud but never heard of them being any more of rabbit dogs

  14. what are your experiences with this cross, i have heard some good reports but never had one, what would you say the best lines are, and any top dogs spring to mind someone mentioned RAMBO the other day to me but to be fair ment nothing to me can anyone shed some light. my mate has one and its very steady out of the haynes line, are they all this way ?
  15. DAVE, hi that bitch you have is a fantastic shape ive only seen 2 dogs before of this type, the owners of a grouse moor had one and my mate who owns a gun shop both dogs are not drakeshead, but knowing the back ground to both owners there dogs will be well bred and out of quality lines, maybe ill pluck up the courage one day to ask
  16. have to agree the disco is value for money compared to the others out there good parts network and plenty of people who know there way around them early ones can feel your travelling on a boat on rough seas all the issues with gearboxes ect will have been sorted allready, td5 are really good value and you feel good driving them too
  17. mk1 box that need calibrating or does not seem to be working on deep digs, anyone had this problem, ive heard there is a guy who works on them Also my mate got a after market collar, when we used it i found it gave a false position of up to a foot one side of it, i was going to buy a terrier collar but i am in two minds to get a second hand deben one or try one of the others you see at the shows any one had good after market one and were did they get it from as they seem to be a couple of people making them
  18. I new he ment alot to you dean mate what do you intend on breeding him too, my mate has a saluki whippet greyhound but wants to put some coat into the pups hence the ruff dog, is it that king blood that has terrier blood in them ?
  19. Hi dean i think he wants like a rough coated dog, how tall is old super flash mate he must be some dog that as he has stayed with you, would you say hes one of the best youve had, i think the dogs hes was looking at must have something els in there make up and wants a dog around 24 inch is this possible mate
  20. THANKS guys was a bit slow to get a answer, the tracker was a proper one well it had the sticker lol, ive had a few gas guns and a few springers and the one gas strut, to be fair the other reasons you said come back to me well the leaving it cocked for longer, the slr ill have a look at cheers
  21. At the end of the day theres crap dogs of any breeding, and i hope the shit ones do fade out and the proper strains keep being bred, I myself have a reece bred bitch and it can do its job, my bitch will do the lot but at 26 inch is unfair to expect it to run in the dales with tiny fields as good as a smaller nibble dog i plan to part company with my bitch to get such a dog and for this reason only proper workers will never die out there just too valuable to loose and many fads will come and go but i bet the bull will dominate ITS domaine
  22. ITS AT MY UNIT ILL GET YOU ONE NEXT TIME I GO DOWN MATE
  23. had a four track for years hence 2.8 guy they do rot but get a good one keep on top of the wax oil every year and you'll be fine i bought mine had it four years only thing i did was a uj joint and a output seal transfer box and this bus was dogged to death after the four years sold it for what i paid for it was ok on juice, not much room in rear tho seats up !
