dropped grandkids off at school & decided to go for a walk with dog& rifle with nothing specific in mind just a stroll about ,i walked through the horse paddock and spotted a bandit carrying twigs into a small copse /mixed wood so i walked over towards it & it spotted me & was off! i knew it would return so settled in about 30 yds away and 20 minutes later 2 bandits appeared and were stealing from this nest! one hung around a second too long and i had a nice clear shot that dropped it like a stone , i thought its mate would have done a bunk so sent koda out to retrieve

well i for one dont like the big leggy type springers & most dogs i see can & will do a weeks work no bother there of the shorter stockier build but each to there own mate -billy

http://i1279.photobuck went out last night and even though it was broken cloud we still managed a canny little bag ,the daughters boyfriend done most of the shooting & im pleased to say he dropped his 1st magpie with me getting the others he shot a crow from about 35 yds that was stuck up the tree but i managed to climb up & shake it out the woodies were fairly easy 25yds and it was a shame not to take afew as there were a lot about ,they wont go to waste as an old fella asked me for some so he is sorted the dog retrieved all but the crow & he is becoming a very handy par
