as above try & get it so that he sees you as the best thing since sliced bread and that you represent fun treats cuddles praise etc dont worry if you think you look daft doing it as it WILL pay off in long run only give him the ball a couple of times when out & it should keep him eager when you show him it whilst recalling him -billy

i borrowed a friends pet rabbit for 2 weeks and koda was kept on lead whilst bunny was allowed to hop about close to him .slightest pull toward rabbit was corrected with a "leave it & stop whistle" i can honestly say i could shoot rabbits all day & he would retrieve them all ,i allow him to flush them but he would NOT kill one your dog may be a bit young but further down the line this might be of interest to you mate -good luck! -billy

ive always said as long as dog does as i say & were both happy hunting together nothing else matters its when you have to scream & tear ya hair out that you know its gone wrong with training -billy
