    it might not matter what colour dog you put over your bitch as labs throw pups from generations past ie .yellow bitch xyellow dog ==all black pups! fox red bitch x black dog ==all yellows ! my mate has a fox red dog if your interested or if you get stuck

    whats it been eating? as this warm weather is perfect for salmonella keep fluids into it with sugar added -but if the ferret means a lot to you its a vet job -else its a waiting game to see if its just a bug that will right itself over time

    every dog & owner differ in there way of knowing when there young dog is ready to step up to the mark I think a good lurcher man would "sort of know " if his dog is ready to tackle old Charlie -billy

    nice dog & he looks like he knows his job I like to see a dog off lead scouting and searching for movement [they spot stuff we don't see!]

    went for a scout at a local farm yesterday morning & on arrival I spotted the usual corvids at the muck pile so I know by past visits they all scarper when a car pulls in but I quickly got out car to see a rook hanging back so rapid cocked I leant on mirror placed the crosshairs on its napper & squeezed the trigger sending it tumbling from the muck heap stone dead! good start to my little drive out , a few people started to gather around for haylage and I was a bit apprehensive about taking a feral on shed roof but a farm hand saw me looking up and gestured to me to shoot it so

    my present dog koda,s mam has only dropped 1 pup & I have 1st choice of it im surely tempted lads as koda is a good dog to work with and im sure this little topper would be fine in my hands

    10 mins a twice a day till all is sorted then I train whilst out on daily walks without it becoming a chore to me and dog I try to change as much as possible to keep him keen!

    well lads I own a rapid 7 & its a fantastic rifle & always tell people nowt could beat it -I was at lowther game fair today & was drawn to the air rifle shooting gallery [sponsored by daystate] I paid my coppers and fired a huntsman with electronic trigger 10 shots at 35yds dropped the lot with such ease it changed my views on them in an instant! im not getting one as I don't need one but they are seriously impressive-billy

    make sure she is very hungry & the treats should work but DONT get angry with her if it doesn't work straight away as she will sense that & associate it with negative views on retrieving -make it a big happy game -roll about with her when she gets it right it has to be fun to her! as soon as she gets it right stop the game give her a treat [fuss etc ] & that's what she will remember -billy

    totally agree mate if it was up here n/e England they would have HAD to move house we talk the talk AND walk the walk up here no f***ing about saying this & that surely someone close to them has the balls to make them move house!

    I was out yesterday with a pal who regulary shoots pigeons[i take dog to pick up for him] & it was the same thing happening to us once the fields are cut it should be a different outcome

    was asked to sort out a few ferals etc today so the rapid was filled and had a canny 2 hours -billy
