1st dog i got was bought from local gypsy camp lived under the caravan ,i thought to myself its going to be a great dog its from gypsies[i was only 16 so please forgive my ignorance lol] she was stag hound x anyother hound that walked the gypo camp she was a honest little thing and gave me a few canny years hunting but my work circumstances changed and a family member took her on and she lived till 16 yrs

who is this ricky guy lads? is he a keeper cos ive just got in from a days beating and a "ricky was mentioned" by the way i was beating in wooler region on a boundary day whin your right he loved his dogs and a few were handy animals too .he took me on a mornings jaunt without dogs and he was a good shot on bambi.he got me a little worried when he picked a keeper up in his scopes and i swear his trigger finger was twitching lol

he didnt give a fxck about keepers or farmers or old bill but he he looked after his mates me included i found him to be sound if a little wild lol he came down here for sunday lunch once for a big guy he didnt eat much loved coursing hares mind you

if its the same lad whin i had a few cracking nights with him and his mate[forget his name] this big fella was a handfull in the wrong hands but sound as a pound in the right company think he drove me around in a clapped out sierra 2.3 deisel he owned a few handy dogs i met him at some show many moons ago and he invited me up with my 2 dogs f**k me whin i could go on for ages about this lad he was great to me

had a cracking cocker b itch that would flush fox out of cover but once they hit open land she wasnt interested back into cover looking for more quarry she worked bunnies ok and caught a few but personally i didnt like her catching them even tho they were retrieved unharmed

if you entered her to early its a common trait with collie crosses im afraid you need to start again and let her loose only on garaunteed catches even if it means getting a mates dog to catch them 1st then take the rabbit from its safety zone [usually garauntees a sucessful run] only then when the dog has caught dozens of rabbits should you take it out on a proper night lamping you must make every thig simple for it or frusration will make it yap .some dogs once they know they can catch them stop yapping but others im afraid never stop good luck mate

even if they had a gripe with the keeper they neednt have done that surely they will get caught as image is pretty clear

i think a few lads sort of got lost on the origional post lol, but any hoo i think a half dozen turkeys chucked into the shoot would be brill makes a change from eating pheasant! i seen a few when i took kids to florida and they looked tasty enuff as they scratched around the edges of scrub on the freeways

i agree with the post .about him getting the upper hand with you ,just start right back to square one basic training reward him with treats ignore him when he ignores you,dogs arent thick they soon learn about thehand that feeds them just dont give up good luck girl
