  2. I wouldn't be keen to do the same burrows over and over you need to give them a break, like "the one" says once a month sounds about right.
  3. Some on here do get a tad emotional.
  4. Agreed it would've been a better idea to get 2 jills and 1 hob but as for two hobs fighting at 5 months and needing seperate cages, not in my experience. Maybe he likes working hobs. And aye i agree with you, i have two hobs here that are caged together all year around, and are fine apart from a bit of bullying in summer. Possibly mate, then 3 hobs might've been a better option.
  5. Agreed it would've been a better idea to get 2 jills and 1 hob but as for two hobs fighting at 5 months and needing seperate cages, not in my experience. mine started ragging / wrestling at 5 1/2 to 6 months and ones back was a right mess, i meant separate cages eventually not at that age, and i agree with Ideation, occasionally hobs can be housed together but its rare in my experience. I was just replying to what you wrote mate which read that in 12 weeks time [age 22 weeks] they'll be fighting and will probably need seperate cages. Personally I've never had any bother with hobs

  7. I've used Denis Beary in the past and would recommend him. http://caninesmc.com/index.html
  8. Atb with your new owner pup Can you explain what you mean. Oh I get it now a bit of sarcasm just what the lad asked for, another top reply from thl.
  9. If you've spent over 2 grand in the last two years on "countless lurchers" and got nothing to show for it that tells me you've either got too much money or a tad slow at learning. Get yourself a pup and put the work in and forget about trying to take shorcuts. As for the police, get yourelf a bit of permission and crack on.
  10. You might want to change the topic title as it isn't an SLR camera. Spec here,-http://www.cameras.co.uk/details/fuji-finepix-s5500.cfm
  11. i was out walking my dog earlier when an old granny shouted "you make sure that you pick that shit up"...calm down luv i replied, let me wipe my a*se first.. job interviewer asks whats your name ?...its john,f*cking, barstard, twat, piss flaps,brady,...do you suffer from tourettes john ? asked the interviewer no said john but the vicar at my christening did.. joined a nudist colony last week..... the first few days were the hardest. just arrived home to find a pretty woman grouting the bathroom wall & singing "its a heartache, nothing but a fools game,
  12. A very impressive pup Robert, he's going to make a big dent in the rabbit population this winter and no doubt make a dent in some other species aswell. How is the sire Snipe bred Robert, as above it reads collie/grey x saluki/grey but earlier I noticed collie/grey used him on one of her bitches and she had him down as,- saluki/greyhound/collie/greyhound x collie/greyhound.
  13. Well done that man, that's a crackin' sea trout. Did anyone read the last paragraph in the link? "The sea trout is described as a “very gamey†smaller cousin of the salmon. But whereas salmon remain in fresh water once they run a river, sea trout may run in and out a number of times" But whereas salmon remain in fresh water once they run a river. Why don't journalists stick to what they know, or do some research on a subject they know little about.
  14. mistle thrush put it on a tape measure please It's in the bin now cos judge made me pick it up and it cracked all over but it was probably just short of an inch though Too small for a Mistle Thrush so I'll go with House Sparrow.
  15. How did the neighbour kill it?
  16. regards breeding, i would say 3rd season, she will fully mature and you will know what she is like in the field (job). What type as she is 3/8 collie 5/8 grey, i would go for whippetxgrey, you still got enough collie there and the drop of whippet will drop the size down, you dont need the beddy. As the collie/grey/whippet will do all you need and still bidable When you say 3rd season do you mean season as in heat or working season as the first if she's a 6 or 9 monthly bitch would be too early for me but if you mean after 3 seasons of graft which would make her probably 3.5 -4 years ol
  17. The vet involved who knows his ferrets, he beleaved it was being left in season that had caused her to be in such a state. I was just commenting on what it said in the article about the jill likely having been kept in dirty conditions. Certainly being left in season on top of the other aspects of her care that were lacking did leave her in a terrible state. I know the ferret and rescue personaly and from descussion with them, they truely beleave it was being left in season that made her so ill. So what your saying is the vet "believed" and the rescue "truely believed" i
  18. I happen to agree with you KittleRox but can't work out how you haven't been shot down in flames as in the thread below. Are you in the "in crowd". http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/193005-ferret-mating/page__p__1954093__fromsearch__1?do=findComment&comment=1954093
  19. Are you implying there's more than one nut job on this thread You'll be catching it next. I did post a while back that the ferret section was getting as bad as the lurcher section but got told it was only banter. One things for sure it doesn't show the posters in a good light. Summer madness, I think maybe folks have took a couple of posts the wrong way and it has got out of hand, maybe time to knock it on the head Agreed, it's time to knock it on the head, but you and I both know they can't and even if they could there will always be a next time.

  21. You lads want to have a get together, then if you all stand one infront of the other in a circle you'll be able to give each other a pat on the back.
  22. I've yet to see a BEW or a silver in the flesh, can't see me going out of my way to find one either. Years ago all I ever heard of was poleys, albinos and sandys [sometimes referred to as cinnamons], that was your lot.
