  1. You say "if they [rabbits] are home but just won't budge she will find them but never kill them". So what does she do sit gaurding the rabbit untill you dig down to her. No she scratches at them while shes down and then hangs around for a while until she comes out with fur on her claws by then we no there down but not budging If your ferret was a lurcher it would be known as a jacker. Basically what your saying is when the going gets tough she can't hack it and comes back out yet you say she is your best worker.

  3. I suppose it might depend on how you "put it out of it's misery".
  4. Didn't bother commenting on this thread before but after reading the above I'm going to. Your dog has just recently killed a lamb yet you see fit to let it loose in a field of lambs then joke that it killed two, yet if it had wanted to kill some of them you were in no position to stop it. Have a good look at the last two words in your post Adam,-"lesson learned" it doesn't look like you have learned anything.
  5. I did that mate but for some reason the two bitches above aren't listed, seems strange when one of them has supposed to have ran in opens at Monmore.
  6. Do you know their stud book names? If as you say the first bitch ran at Monmore which is NGRC I'm surprised she's not on greyhound data.
  7. I can see you don't like your greyhounds with too much muscle, the bitch in the first pic has hardly any conditioning at all and I stand by what I said earlier there's got to be lengths to find when you get her fit. The second bitch is in better nick, put the two pics side by side and you'll see the difference between them. What are the two bitches called? I tried looking up El Grand on greyhound data but drew a blank.
  8. If that bitch can win a race when she's like that she'll win loads more when you get her fit.
  9. Bendrover, Baw that was a nice touch, well done both of you.
  10. We were thinking it was a bunting of some kind but thought it didn't have enough black on it's head for a cock reed bunting and too much for a hen.
  11. My mate has for sale a Daystate Air Ranger in .177 it comes with the bigger 500cc buddy bottle, Weihrauch silencer and Lisenfield 4 x 20 scope and mounts, also one large padded gun bag from gun gear products and a FX pump with snap on connector. The total package cost £1500 when new and he's looking for £950. He would like to sell the lot together and would be willing to travel a reasonable distance to meet with prospective buyers so that the gun etc can be viewed. The gun is located near Dumfries SW Scotland. Also for sale is an infra red illuminator which has never been used, I am
  12. My mate took a pic of this bird in his back garden in December, we are both unsure what kind of bird it is so can anyone put us right. The location was SW Scotland.
  13. Thanks for posting the pics Jai. It would be good if you could aquire a "proper" camera as it would improve the quality tenfold and I'm sure that with you being out as much you'd be able to get some crackin' photo's. Look forward to seeing more.
  14. That's a result mate, good to hear they're back home.
  15. Go on give us a clue as to what you're on about, you know you want to.
  16. Thanks for getting back to me Alex, what does 4 milldots equate to in inches.
  17. Back to the original question Alex, how much hold over do you have at 65 meters?
  18. I poped my head over the fence then boom! another rabbit. What are you shooting with, a cannon? That's good going at those distances Alex, is your gun chucking the pellets out at normal power [sub 12ft/lb] and how much hold over do you need at 65 meters? Edited to ask what calibre the gun is?
  19. Would it not have been a better option to have asked the lad who had the dog at the show, or was that not possible?
  20. I know mate and speedy is slagging dogmen for not knowing a good hare from a bad one..... But speedy doesn't even know there is more than one type of hare.... He's obviously not "speedy" between the ears.
  21. It could be a phantom pregnancy mate, not uncommon when you use a snipped hob. Then again if the hob's unproven she might be in kit, time will tell.
  22. How much for the book Jamie and will you post?
