  1. Sounds like this Taylor.... http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/308321-coughs-after-hard-runs/ Ive found it usually happens with dogs not up to full fitness, or do or die type dogs after a very long run. Never found it anything to worry about although it can be quite worrying when you first hear/see it

  3. Never had any trouble with feet on my 1st crosses? Other injuries due to their do or die attitude by the bucket though.

Tell her I was asking for her Oh you little bitch Didnt expect you to have gone far grandad, knew you'd raise that ageing face of yours again just cause I said you were too young for me, your still holding a grudge I see how's you mo, keeping good I hope? 6. Not all terriers will be good at ratting. If you get out a lot with various dogs and people you can see it. Plus as with all other types of hunting, there are those that can do it, and those that can do it very well. And there is scrounging about for the odd rat, and there is ratting! I've seen everything from bull/greys to dachshunds ratting. For me as a breed terrier wise, even though i dont own one, the old strain stocky plummers were good dogs on rats, i haven't seen any of the new whippety ones working so cannot comment. And not being biased because she is mine but the best dog i hav
  7. I'm pretty sure a dog cannot die from secondary poisoning from rat poison
  8. Your card was marked the second i came back.... ? is that a no then lol No Bird, it was a..... read it when busy, will reply to it later then forgot. Sorry if ii upset you
  9. It's the weeing up the marker pegs i find annoying
  10. Ive a pair of Gill trousers, the best i have had yet. I presume clothing specifically made for work on water are going to be better than those for hunting. http://www.gillmarine.com/gb/products/waterproof-sailing-trousers-2355/2463
  11. I know you lot will probably think I'm mad, but has anyone else ever had a dog who will locate where a mole is active underground? One of my dogs is mad keen on moles, he can show me where tunnels are in places i would never have found, and i have yet to miss a mole in places he marks! I dont even need to check my traps, he goes around them all and lets me know which ones have caught...i kid you not
  12. I was told recently i should not put pegs with flags (I make little flags for ones in long cover) next to mole traps because the vibrations when the wind blows them with keep the moles away
  13. Mo, how very dare you ask people to share their experiences and knowledge on a forum instead of going on google...cos everything on google is real dont ye know Mareks will take from 3 weeks of the bird being infected till the symptoms show, so if you had the new birds less than 3wks it probably isn't them.
  14. Mareks tends to rear it's ugly head at this time of year when birds are not at their fittest post moult and with the cold weather to contend with Mo. Now you have it you will probably never be free from it unless you get rid of all housing and have a long break. You have to be free of all dander as it is carried in it. Some birds contract it, some dont, some die some are carriers. Some people believe you can breed mareks resistant birds, how much of this is true i dont know. It may just be those people have carriers who have not shown the symptoms?
  15. I have a new one taken when ratting last year. I think i am aging well, still got the skin of a teenager....... Acne
  16. Thank you very much everyone As long as he's changed that horrible avitar...it freaks me out Hope that isn't actually him in that picture otherwise I am sorry And moll changes hers back to the one with her hair everywhere and pulling that face! Cracked me up that one!! I cant remember that one I have had another wild hair one since, when Millet changed the jets on a gas cooker to convert it to calor gas for me. My head under the oven...."watch there" he said, "See if it ignites when i press this" Oh it ignited alright, the whole of the bloody cooker ignited A subseq
