  3. I had a dog like that, when he turned 2yrs, became a real bully, would run at strange dogs, never check to see if they were dogs or bitches/young or old, just pile in and pull them to the gound. I eventually stopped him with training and being carefull where i took him when he was off the lead untill he was sorted As for foxes, you would think he would be brill but he wasn't. He liked to be on top but as soon as he got bitten back...he did not like it, the same when a dog got him on the face. He never attacked another dog after that.
  4. I agree, plus scatter feed their only feed in the house, they will soon go in when hungry.
  5. It is much better thank you, still not back to normal though. She now uses it like a normal leg, in that it is forward instead of back, and she has full movement in the leg. But the toe next to the 'thumb' and the middle one lie on their side when she stand on the perch, as if paralysed? So she does still lie on the perches at times. But i am not worried about her anymore, she seems to be coping brilliantly
  6. First time for everything ! Lol lol go get some shelves put up
  7. How do you get another account though, wouldn't mind arguing with myself sometimes, got no-one else to nag
  8. Pen training, and encouragement/training to pose (Serama must pose) They had a bath on Monday prior, and the usual polishing with silk, and oil on combs etc I will never win big shows, as i do not take the care required to keep the feathers etc in good order. I like my birds to go outside and be natural birds you see. To keep them 'perfect' they need to be constantly penned in deep shavings.
  9. No the cock got best out of 11 and the hen 3rd out of 8 I did once get 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th out of 5 Serama are really growing in popularity now
  10. It is normally at Acklington mart, but has moved this year to Hexham livestock auction mart Gin
  11. Eleven cocks & eight hens. The best standard as a whole i have seen in a show Were you there?
  12. They just die jasp...that's what they do, be it weak heart, virus....or just to piss us off Never had one die of fright yet, i think they are much tougher than that
  13. do you have to be a knob to own a bullx ? very steriotypical no you don't have to be a knob to own a bull cross, but he's saying all the knobs own one, which is pretty much bang on! Sorry , don`t believe this at all,, quite a few round my way run big deerhound x`s Bull x`s are not for me,, at all, but fuckme I`ve seen some stunning looking ones!!! real beauties! I agree, shame they seem to attract a certain type of person. Me
  14. The impact from the accident Rob, the bruise on his chest did not show itself for a good few days later.
  15. No probs, it is quite scarey when you first see them cough like that.
  16. Keep her within earshot tonight though. Rudie collapsed his lungs recently, i only noticed because his breathing became increased and deeper, he then could not settle, walking around moaning now and then (could not lie down) If she is sleeping soundly then she is probably ok
  17. You would be surprised as to how unfit our fit dogs are at times, has happened to me many a time, though my dogs were fit then a big hare gets up whilst out on a walk and leads them a merry dance, plus i think some dogs are more prone to it than others. The season thing, i really cannot answer Rob, we girls are all neutered here
  18. That's a very specific fantasy. You've put a lot of thought into it!
  19. The coughing is quite common in dogs when they have what we call, 'burnt their lungs', meaning the have done too much running when not quite fit enough, she should be fine by tomorrow if that is what it is Shallow fast breathing and panting is usually a sign of pain. Anything to do with major lung problems and the breaths are usually deep and fast. trying hard to get air in
