For Sale beddywhip/staff pups pics now added
Moll. replied to nasher1's topic in Working Dogs & Livestock
I've a staff x whippet. And if these pups have half the drive and character mine has you will have a world of fun with one. Just wish i was in a position to take one on, i would love one. Good luck with the sale and i hope whoever gets them will keep us updated on here as to how they turn out -
I must be weird then When i bought Boo, all his littermates were blues, i have never really thought of them as a nice colour to own much prefer the parti colours, and originally picked him (in my head) from a photo. But then again he was the pup who stood out as the most laid back & bold confirming my decision. He is also much heavier built than his parents who were both blue, now i know why regarding blues having poor bones...never knew that?

theres a hell of a lot of contradiction on this subject the more i read the more i see, i do know that my conditioning routine will change after this. if you think about it most, me included follow the greyhound routine, when in reality the lurcher does far more than run in a line, so more thought will be put into it in future. Ball on a rope does wonders Paul, the sprint, turn, strike etc. But i have noticed you must start this slowly and build up and only after the dog had had a good walk to warm him through If any of my dogs have a niggling injury it will get worse when doing this. Ye

The ghosts of scrap men past I was there 20+ yrs ago for my nursing exam, might have passed you in the corridor Did not know Cherry Knowle had also closed, another stunning building. http://newcastlephotos.blogspot.co.uk/2008/05/cherry-knowle-hospital-sunderland.html

Wish i had money, wouldn't somewhere like that be wonderfull restored and converted (a little bit) into a home
-
Ohhh stunning! What had it been before it became derelict?

Interesting Sandy. I give my dogs roughly 3 sprints per day, on 'normal' exercise on the quad bike. And even at times like now when they are not in their peak work fitness they have backs like coffee tables. I have always noticed the whippet especially has a large defined back, not like the usual roached skinny backs you see on whippets, just thought it was the way he is..perhaps the sprinting is the reason?

Lucy looks like she is being picked on and very unhappy..... she would feel much happier living here still

Please do, and some in colour so you can get the feel of the place better

Instead of all of this cloak and dagger stuff leaving folks wondering....Si had an operation yesterday to have a brain tumour removed. It just goes to show what a top bloke Simoman is as no-one would have realised by the stiff upper lip and good humour he has still shown on here whilst his eyesight faded and he must have been absolutely 'shitting a brick'. Then to top it all off, as if it was not bad enough, his partner Liz (yes his partner is a female) was admitted two days before his surgery with an emergency ruptured appendix, leaving Si the added stress of getting someone to look after ki

Did think twice about it paul. But it's on Facebook, and many people know. Plus it don't do any harm to let some of the idiots see that people have real lives with real problems behind the pc screen Anyway, I'm sure this thread would have given people an idea something had happened anyway

It's just my bone man....who is a running dog GOD Will say to rub in linament for certain things yet oil only for other things. So he obviously knows the difference between what will work for something and not for others?
-
That has helped thank you chook, although i am now too scared to select anything in case i bugga it up
-
Would have a heat source next the the muscle from the linament ie the skin, perhaps still cause heat to get to the muscle faster though? A bit like standing in front of a fire, the heat is not directly in my skin but my skin heats up from the heat in front of it?

There is definitely no function on the camera Steve, even had someone else with the same camera looking for me. I wonder if it is something to do with the pc rather than the camera? Was going to say SHUT IT.....but i actually liked being called a chick Rotflmfao
