  10. A nice stamp of dog how old is he ?
  11. i think he meant the dog was 10 years old in the first one.
  12. confidence is a big thing with some young dogs. i had a 1/2 cross many many years ago and he took a good while to mature. pick and choose your runs which is easier said than done depending on the land and amount of rabbits etc. get him on some young early season rabbits as confidence boosters in the spring early summer. nothing wrong running them with a young dog just starting its working life. much too soon to write him off. long slips on fast ground can come later on when he is experienced. lamp shy rabbits and fast terrain not for a inexperienced dog. pick your runs and ground if possible.
  13. Was the dog you spoke early on back in the thread spider a first cross gsd/ grey if you dont mind me asking. the only experience i have of the cross is watching a dog that was 3/4 grey 1/4 deerhound x 1/2 gsd 1/2 grey back in the mid to late 80s a consistant hare killer thats all he was run on to the best of my knowledge.
  14. A noted Deer poacher wanted Hancock to rear the Litter for him According to Plummer Back in the 80s there was a number of letters in the shootings news about the upcoming litter but i never heard anything more about the results from it.
  15. A nice confidence boost for the dog and also you. hope the dog does well for you.
  16. Going back to the 80s didnt Hancock breed a litter of GSD/ Greys from his then guard dog?I Remember seeing this gsd in his yard in 1987. Didnt hear nothing of the litter though. A big powerful looking animal.
