Opinions On What % In A Bull X Gh
trenchfoot replied to the big chief's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
find 2 bull x's doing the kind of work, to your desired standard, on the type of land you run. And assuming they are a dog and bitch breed 'em. it's not rocket science. All them fractions just blind folk to how good a dog or isn't, before they have seen it graft -
Where Did The Deer Dog Post Go
trenchfoot replied to Coursing mad 24's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I'd of believed it if there had been a lasoo around its neck! -
it better simulates a barn. the extra space allows fledglings to stretch their wings etc and develop within the box. Which gives them a greater chance to survive once outside the box. They do seem to stay in the large boxes longer, and as once they are out, they have no cover, I believe that is all for the good

I've a little collie cur pup, 5 1/2 month that I brought in to replace my ageing ratching cur. She is as bright as a button in many ways, but compared to the others I have reared she has been very slow to show any sign of knowing what the big black blob on the end of her snout is for. When out with the other dogs, she acts just like the pup she is. Generally making a nuisance of herself until the others dog/s get on something. Yet when just the 2 of us, all that confidence has disappeared and she has barely wandered 10 yards from my side. But the last couple of days I can see the changes c

Yes very true but I love using this hammergun for ferreting so I'd like to get this done on my hammergun if possible. And the open chokes would be great as it's full/full at the moment and a bit too tight for the odd close range shot while ferreting.why dont you stand further back when ready to shoot that way it wont cost you anything and give you a bit of practice shooting further out,atb wf I see where you are coming from but in a wood the further away I stand there's many trees between me and the rabbit and some times if I don't net up all the holes there's 20 yards between the rabbit bolti

dog x bitch?

I appreciate all types. lamped till my eyes burn. ferreted till the batteries went flat. walked dogs on slips till my arms fell off. I never liked mob handed forays. I prefer just me and a dog , or dogs these days. daytime in the main, seeing my dog/dogs hunt up or follow commands to game unseen. the outcome is between me and my concience. But if the freezer is depleted, or jobs need doing, the old lamp comes back out
