  6. after discovering how to film short segmants on my digital camera, and also how to get it on utube, then following the advice from the mod's (see general talk, pinned) your now get to see small snippets of my ferts or shooting or even work, keep watching the court is not finished yet, still needs lots of ramps/pipes etc
  7. here's my other half's (samm) albino hob 2 weeks after his castration, getting his favorite treat of ferret paste, after drinking OUR tea and coffee
  8. hi all, hed's you may have seen a corner litter tray discarded near the fert court, I tried to get them to use it (the 2 mums) put it in a fav corner, they changed to another, placed items in these corners, they poop against the tray or move it, i tried screwing it in place, still no joy, so i, like others gave up, so good luck if you get them using it, i wouldent worry were they sleep either, mine are all sleeping in a play tube cos its too hot in the nest boxes
  9. we hear lots of stories about people's ferrets escaping, and Im glad you found yours when you did, but does it never occure to anyone to fit padlocks to there hutches/courts?? my court has an internal wire door that is secure with a small padlock from a suitcase, wouldent stop a theif, but will stop a nosey neighbour etc the main door (closed at night) has the huge padlock on, as do the outside court doors hutches have cabanna clips to hold shut if catches work loose

  12. i had a hob and 3 jills in a court many many years ago, they ate him!!!!!!!!!!
  13. hi heds, i think your suggestion of moving the hammock is the best idea, in my anderson the mums always used the far right corner (great) but the kits are divided in useing that area and the corner right by the water drinker (d'oh) so do think they choose were to go... prob will take a little time for them to pick up the courage to explore more, although my outside court is open to them, its the mums that spend all there time out there, the kits seem to prefer the "safe" indoors, you could always place them on a higher level and watch, my other half has been nipped a few times and
  14. I have some, 8 weeks old this coming weekend, but im in grays in essex, dunno what sex yet, will check later steve
  15. quote;i like ferreting with my collie greyhound dont you find the collie a bit big to go down the holes, welcome mate
  16. ive got the same dilema, my hob had the run of the outside court, while the 2 jills and 14 kitts had the inside, now their bigger (7weeks) ive moved the hob to a hutch and given the mums and remaining kitts(8, 6 sold) the run of the complete court, and of course "buster" is hating a hutch we had him castrated 2 weeks back and he seems fine, but one of the jills seems to have become a bit snappy when anyone near the kitts, and towards him too when i held him near the wire

  22. looks like a herring gull to me, which is on the list of species allowed to be culled by an authorised person..... NOTICE I SAID AUTHORISED somehow I dont think you are lucas, which means although on the list, unless your AUTHORISED, then its still breaking the law and you can get done, and saying it was in your back garden causing a nuisance is not good enough
