  1. you little liar pat, you told me the camera wern't working, there's me with a fag hanging out me mouth, trying to get to grips with brambles in net, lucky i didnt post that video of you, lol
  2. so we started the day off by having a breakfast fry up, on route to the orchard, just me and magwitch as Inan's still seeing the sights in some far away land, was a pleasant day, as no rain or snow or strong winds, we ferreted mostly hedgerows and had trouble getting the bunnies to bolt, even though we knew they were there, so not a huge amount, but enough at a final count of 11 ps, pat, I found the one you hid in me basket, lol
  3. brilliant pics, a joy to look at... beats me how you get so many in one post, I upload 1 and it says Ive used all the space

    nice looking kitts mate,
  8. its just cos its not the norm, mine get fed on dry and rabbit , last week gave them 2 woodies, they did the same as yours, looked at it and walked off,lol
  9. thats a lot to answer in one post, both are good at doing there intended job, if you turned up with just longnets and found a 4 holer, you'd be f*cked really, and the same goes with purse nets, turn up with 25, you'll need 35 or a long net, so get both over time, by the sound of it, from what your asking, your a total newbie, nothing wrong in that, if you can find someone local to you, that can show you the ropes, get in there, asking the above question, does that mean you already have ferrets??, cos if not, you'll just need a long net, and then look in the long netting section for
  10. its a long way away mate, but i could do ya a full roll of stainless steel bond wire, great for making snares £25 collected good knows what postage would cost, its bloody heavy
  11. should be in the for sale section
  12. probably was crossing the road to see his flatmate
  13. they have gone up!!!! got one of these (like many others) around this time last year from lidl at £99 and they are bloody good units, used mine the other night, whilst out with magwitch would like to try it on the end of a telescopic, if anyone knows a way of mating them together may need to run a seperate IR on it, as the inbuilt one is fine to about 50yds, gets my thumbs up
  14. quote; I have also heard to feel the rabbits tummys of the ones you have all caught to get an indication of whether they have been out feeding for long or not. sod feeling them, just look at their stomachs when ya gut them
  15. yup, magnum's are the mutts nutts markie, buy more than 10 and they around £3-70 each, you can get black, and then 2 white ones for the ends
  16. of course, bones, fur, everything, they are carnivous, lots of vits etc in bones and fur/feather did'nt you ever see WHITE DOG POO, as a kid i always thought that came from white dogs, but infact it came from dogs fed on raw bones etc, makes their arse's work properly, look at alot of todays dogs, forever biting their arses, that because they get swollen rear glands where they get fed tinned crap, rather that what there digestive system was made for, raw, same goes for ferrets
  17. f*kc in hell guys, thats deep
  18. that'll be why that rabbit flew away then
  19. my 9 ferrets get 1/2 a rabbit per night (court system), plus dry food every other day too, i wouldent recomend dry only, ferts are made to eat raw meat and bone, i do however dice the rabbit with an axe, skin it, chop head off, which they get too, the hack the carcass in 9 plus pieces, that way not too much fighting over meat, as others have said, try chopping it up, and keep off the dry, if not eaten, replace, they will eat soon enough
  20. he feeds them carrots, that keeps them small. nice one pat,
  21. normally when you buy a NV unit, it comes with the IR attached to it, yes you can use the nv, without the ir, but think you'd have a time trying to spot the rabbits, the IR gives you the edge, by lighting up the rabbits eyes, someone with more knowledge on the subject would be able to tell ya more
  22. hi Geoff, yup, your right about the carrying capacity of the vitz, mines only the 3 door, but worked great last night, there are lots of different types of nightvison, and Im no expert, but you basically use your daytime telescopic, then add the nightvison on behind it, makes it longer and a bit weird to hold rifle, but soon get used to it, this on its own (battery power) will give you a green target picture, the IR,I think stands for infa red projects a beam that reflects on the rabbits eyes making them stand out like a sore thumb the better quaility the IR the furher it will project,
