there are another make of electric fence poles, that will work much better than those you have bought, these are around 27" total length, with a 6" steel spike, giving you around 21" of round plastic tube to attach net too, no bits to snag on, and so easy to push in ground, although i have bought the fibreglass ones from MAGNUM'S, I've got these electric ones as back-up

from reading your post, it seems your set on 1 ferret, rather than a pair, pairs are better as they have the company of each other, but alot of people do still keep a single ferret, if thats the case, get yaself a hob, ok it'll get sexually mature, but its no real problem, no trips to the vets for jill jabs, or time spent searching for a vasectimized hob, then if down the line you want to get more, cos you'll fall in love with that one (or ya missus will) and you can then get a couple of jills, and maybe give your hob the snip, hobs are slower at working the burrows, but many a time I've fer

so as the weather looked crap for the weekend, putting a downer on ferreting, magwitch kindly Invited me out for an evening shooting instead, this gave me a chance to test out 2 things, firstly my £99 lidi nightvison mono, which I'd tried in the back garden, and also to see how my vitara (dont laugh) would handle off road. we arrived at his permission and went into 4wd, on setting up his rifle, I drove along the rows of apple tree's, stopping at each lane for pat to take a look down, having his night vison set up on the rifle, I found it was too much to have both night vison IR's on as this

anyone on here, local to essex that does a collection service?? I got a concrete sectional garage that I won off e bay, located in a night club car park in the dartford town which I wanna dismantle (couple hours) and get it bought back here to grays, essex probably about 22 3x3 concrete panels, and 12 posts, so reckon will need a 7.5 tonne lorry, flatback???? have cash waiting if anyone can help, plus cups of coffee on our return

ive had this problem too, there is a page of internet, land management thingey, but they want around £25 per feild!!!!!!!!! i googled an odunance survey map and printed off some areas, took note of the names of farm houses etc, then asked in the local post office for names, addresses, then visted these people, being able to address them by surname sounds better than oi mate if the land aint theirs, im sure they tell ya who's it is

thats what I was trying to say a few posts back, the way you'd know you had a silver, and not a BEW would be a couple of matings down the line, when no BEW are produced, there could be loads of keepers thinking they had BEW's that are in fact silvers, although my jill looks white, on running the hairs the wrong way (backcombing) you can see some silver.... if you thought you had a single BEW, I'd say, find someone with anoither BEW, mate them together, if no BEW's are produced from the mating, then one or both must be silvers, quote; i was talking to a mate who has bred silvers and

I think people forget to flick the switch richie, but your right, its not exactly rocket science as for a cheaper mk3, you'll have better luck in finding some rocking horse poo you get what you pay for mate, if you already have a mk1, and can use it to locate your ferts, why change?? if however you have a mk1 and cant use it, a mk3 will baffle ya,

if your gonna be using a hawk, then why buy nets??? or will the hawk open a purse net ferret/s ferret finder ferret carrier shovel a mate to go with you, would'ent advise trying to hold a hawk and ferret at once, and your be busy with the hawk, to watch out for the fert extras; flask sarnies if leaving the hawk at home then buy some purse nets
