    No bigger sceptic than me. I've always said ghosts/paranormal etc is a load of bollox, but the last hotel we had was about 400 years old and i saw and experienced really freaky stuff there. Locking up one night, i bent down to unplug some lights and the dog started whining, looked at her and her tail was right under her belly and she was looking straight into the fully lit kitchen.     same as, i thought i was tougher than that but bottled it. I don't think it's a case of being tough or of bottling it, Gem. Your need to stop watching was governed by human compassion, and that's a quality of every good hunter, imo.

    It's likely just " rat-tail ", a hormonal response to the onset of mating season. My albino hob is just starting to show the first signs of it now.

    You dont want to piss about with those warre hives, its all natural comb, no frames to pop in a extractor... I know it's not geared towards commercial production. I just liked the notion of healthy bees, given how their numbers are dwindling these days, y'know ? I know what you mean, but i wouldnt take too much notice of everything you hear. We aint trucking our bees 4000 miles each month like the yanks do. I do think that pesticides are a lot of the problem rather than the hives they are kept in.     I've been looking into beekeeping too, Joe. There's a plan here for a design by a famous beekeeper called the Abbe Warré. It differs significantly from modern designs in quite a few ways, but principally in that it's designed to maintain a static temperature in the hive, which is meant to be really beneficial to the bees.     Try Smiths Gore, they do a lot of rentals on sporting estates and in the countryside generally. Also you could try Richard Turner and Sons at Sawley near Clitheroe, they're land agents and auctioneers. Good Luck

    " It " scared the crap outta me. It took me two attempts to finish it, despite it being a complete gripper, just because i wussed out i was the same, gave myself nightmares tryed to watch the film once... not even remotely scary, been a few years since i last read the book but i remember that the clown reached his hand up from the gutter and ripped a boys arm off?? The film was a mess, disjointed, scrappy, and because it was made for tv, it was nowhere near graphic enough. It was a real shame too, because Tim Curry nailed Pennywise. He was fantastically sinister.
