    i bought s.a.s handbook of survival (although it,s more like a phonebook) when i was about ten,starting making traps and setting fires,cooking and eating whatever i caught,i think thats why i got into lurchers,i really enjoy ray mears.

    Well mine get all the scraps, they love Chicken Tikka Masala pilo rice and nan bread few mango chutney popadoms, also chinese chicken curry egg fried rice. A mate of mine eats Chicken Madras and his retired bitch sits and waits for it licking her lips! As someone said above if its good enough for me its good enough for them too. My dogs are piccy so if they didnt like it they wouldnt eat it! my pup just had leftover keeeebab,meat,onions,lettuce,tomato,cucumber,cabbage, pitta bread,chilli sauce.

    mine get scraps all the time,fat off meat,veg,beans,soup etc etc, it would be a shame to waste it.

    welcome to the site.put plenty of time in training and be patient,read some books, don,t over excercise your pup while it is only young,wait until it is at least nine months old before you start hunting with your dog(entering).if you put the time in the pup will reward you.atb.

    Surprised to see it is no heavier set than a first cross collie grey. i think i was quite lucky with my choice of pup.

    thanks for the pic smart looking dog what size was the dam and sire not sure.sire was a leggy working sheepdog,dam was about 25 tts at a guess.

    if you crossed that dog with a collie there would be no doubt in my mind that it would produce lurchers i think the sighthound blood would be diluted too much to call it a lurcher.jmo.

    i have an 1/2 collie 1/4 bull 1/4 grey.if i crossed her with a collie then i wouldn,t call the pups lurchers.
