  1. doing the same myself right now,i have been leaving dogs in back garden for an hour or two at a time on warmer days and they,ve been no bother, once the kennels finished i,ll put them in the run with access to the shelter for short periods and gradually lenghten the time,as whippet lad says feed and give treats in the kennel,
  2. beardies are a bit more headstrong than borders, jmo, couldn,t comment on the other types,
  3. sounds like your doing fine wi the pup, when he brings the dummy back to you don,t always try and take it,just clap and praise him and let him play with it.don,t do retrieving too much though and if it looks like he,s getting bored stop until later /next day,
  4. i can guarantee this breeding, no whippet at all, dam is deer/grey/saluki/grey 26" sire is collie/grey 27"
  5. not always, work, family, etc, If you want it. It's there. Excuses are exactly that. No offence mate, but I hear that all the time and on all but a few occasions it aint true. FTB i,m not making excuses, its just my life doesn,t revolve around hunting,i wouldn,t travel hundreds of miles to chase bunnys,i just do relatively local, lamping, ferreting, bushing, daytime and this suits me,(and the wife) all i was saying is wouldn,t mind sport like that round my way and you get jumped on wi cxxnts looking for an argument. Completely backing up what I just said. No offence
  6. never used a locator(a bit old fashioned)but i do need alot of patience

  12. Its nothing special well l dont agree that is well trained dog and best l have seen if your dog is as good or better put your video up and let us see if not just keep sitting behind your computer and keep blowing your trumpet. great dog by the way and credit to you it isn,t nothing special,my previous dogs were on a par with tegan, its what i would expect from a working lurcher and its what i am looking for in the pup i am entering just now,not right away obviously, and if this is the best dog you,ve ever seen (on a video)i suggest you should get off your arse and go out with some real dogs
