    Never met a shooter who stood up for the dogmen when we were getting banned..... naa, I'm happy with what I'm allowed to hunt with my dogs and if the government deem that rearing birds for the sole purpose of shooting them for fun isn't really hunting....... Then they are on their own. whats going to happen if the government ban shooting as well,no pheasant rearing,no grouse moors no land management,then the countryside will be fecked.say goodbye to wildlife,build more housing estates,etc,etc Don't kid yourself.     been scouting about local ground trying to figure out ways to net rabbits at night using my dogs to flush them.i reckon i only need a net about thirty feet long,something lightweight which can be set quickly and will hold the rabbits till i get there. i have never used a longnet/gatenet before,any advice appreciated,which type,where to purchase,etc. thanks

    i think there is too much expectation from what people want from their dogs, just look at the topics,4 out of five hares, how big a bag in one night,you know feckall unless you,ve been on big lands,it,s all alot of shite and can,t be arsed with it. some people exspect to much,and the dogs get passed from pillar to post.alot of thesedogs would probably make good allround lurchers if time and patience was used in training them.not having ago at the coursing men/women, i enjoy a good chase,just my opinion.

    don,t use collars,i,m a bit old fashioned lol,but i know what your saying about character,i got the impression yesterday ones going to be very determined and the others a bit less,but it was only first time so time will tell,cheers

    took my two young sandys out yesterday for the first time,easy holes,no cover etc although ihad a lie up for at least an hour they bolted six.getting to the point i can,t tell the difference looks wise which jill is which,any sensible advice how to mark them appreciated.
