If they're fully ripe when yellow, then they're probably greengages. taste like plums. They will do. Bullace, damson, greengage etc all belong to essentially the same genus; prunus domestica. There are varietal differences in colour and size, but you can pretty much class them as wild plums. Anyhoo, they're all good either stewed, or steeped in sugar and alcohol. your obviousely nore knowledgable than me cheers

found a few trees a couple of weeks ago, fruit was yellow colour about an inch in size fully ripe, tasted like plums,i take it these are damsons?

went a walk round local playing fields with pup this afternoon.a rabbit came bounding out into the field oblivious to our prescence.pup chased after it,she turned it three or four times then nailed it [shes had the chances with healthy rabbits but shes used her paws and rabbits escaped]no paws this time she just grabbed it.pissed about with retrieve,brought it so far but didn,t want to give it up.walked up and took it from her.because it was mixi i didn,t want to keep it so threw it into thick bushes,pup dived in then retreived straight back to hand.lol. i know it was only a mixi but i was st

i went to a building site acouple of years ago and asked [are you looking for joiners?]came the reply [your the wrong race] i asked what do you do you mean? came the reply your not polish.to say i was pissed off is an understatement.i found myself cursing the feckin poles, send them back to there own country.however i,m not racist. if i was polish i probably would have came over here to find work and send money back home along with the family credit. its not the poles fault,it,s the feckin system,feck the system,feck the ban.

no need for dogs long netting at night,buy the book longnetting from peg to peg by martin king,will tell you all you need to know to get started,and it's a good read,i bought my first net and this book around 5 mths ago,went up to the local playing field during the evening to practice setting it out,done this during daylight to get used to it,then after a while went out when it was getting dark,went out last week in a field where there were rabbits to try out for the first time and got 4,practice pays of,i bought the net from someone on this forum,but,you can buy them of a number of sites,jbs
