After having seen loads of rabbits out in one particular spot when lamping we decided to give it a go with the ferrets.
In this spot the ground is covered in sheep with lots of rushes where most of the holes are. Most of the burries are only 2 or 3 holes, with lots of emergency escape holes, no more than a couple of feet long, for when buzzards fly over.
It was always going to be a bit hit and miss because the rabbits often just sit out in the rushes, but we though that the recent snow fall and colder weather, might have driven them underground.
